    2024 Headliners

There's still hope for a TBA or secret set ☺️

    2024 Headliners

I was going to watch Coldplay but that does take some of the shine off Glastonbury now, especially as the Big Weekend will be on the radio and maybe the BBC for free. I'm also miffed that Everything Everything and Vampire Weekend got snapped up for that and aren't on the Glasto poster 😬
  3. From the poster, they're in the 'middle' position the way the names are grouped in threes - therefore, I would have said Saturday before Peggy Gou.
  4. Pulp Everything Everything Vampire Weekend Yungblud Noah Kahan Grace Petrie Still holding out hopes!
  5. I'll say Professor Elemental - on Sensation Seekers, Mavericks, the Tolpuddle Tree at Woodsies, and on the small portable stage owned by the Caravan of Lost Souls 😁

There were a few announcements on the big screen, but of course anyone sitting down wouldn't be able to see them! When they finally made a loudspeaker announcement, people around me were popping up like Whac-a-moles πŸ˜‚
  7. A couple of duos who I've discovered from support slots recently and loved: Hot Milk and Lunars.
  8. 1. How many decibels was the Killers' 2019 set 2. What frequency is Worthy FM 3. Who got their Other Stage headline set cut short. The winner was practically incoherent with joy, good for them!
  9. Heads up, Radio One are giving out the details today for entry to the Glastonbury tickets competition on Monday. The word to text is FARM - sorry I didn't catch the number, but all the DJs are regularly repeating the details. Good luck, efests members!
  10. Pulp's Sorted for E's and Whizz - the 'field in Hampshire' has been changed to Somerset, live, hasn't it?
  11. Me too, I only recently discovered the treasure trove of Select magazines all scanned online 😁
  12. Not really a contribution to the debate, but this all reminded me of this comic from Select Magazine's Glastonbury special in 1994 😁 http://selectmagazinescans.monkeon.co.uk/showpage.php?file=wp-content/uploads/2012/11/moody14.jpg
  13. In the day time Carhenge was a great place to chill, providing a much needed area of shade under the trilithons! πŸ˜† But after dark it needed more reasons for people to stop there. Sorting out the stage and putting on a few DJs would help.
  14. I can only hope! Thursday are playing Hellfest in France on June 27th ...
  15. I'm torn about this. I'm aware from social media that there is a thriving culture of livestreaming shows for the benefit of other fans who can't attend for reasons of cost, accessibility, health issues, or just the fact that their favourite band never visits certain countries. I think this is also a generational thing, that newer bands almost expect this, or are happy to release sets on their own social media to pre-empt it. And it depends a lot on the kind of music - at a rock gig with lots of moshing, phones are hardly going to be the distraction that they would be at an acoustic show. In short, I do think this is a good thing, just as long as people are considerate of others around them and aren't dicks about it!
