He is the only old person there who actually likes to discover new music. If any of the old lot listened to his Rocket Hour show thats all he ever does is gush over new acts. He still loves to go record shopping for new music.

Elton is in the very rare position of having probably 15+ songs that even the causal music fan would instantly recognise and sing along to. Makes for the perfect headliner.
