2023 New Music

I'm 304 albums into 2023, and Creeper's is probably my album of the year now. I've listened to it 20+ times since Friday and been recommending it left right and centre.

Aside from that, it's probably HMLTD's The Worm and Gabriels' Angels & Queens that are the stand outs from a critical perspective. From a personal perspective, Slow Readers Club, Iggy Pop, Romy, Young Fathers, The Church, 100 Gecs, Beach Fossils all up there. Been a phenomenal year for music.

Grinning ear to ear at people enjoying the Creeper album. I hope this kind of word of mouth travels far and they become more and more popular. Once you're done with Sanguivore, delve into their other stuff and read as many interviews as possible with them. They're a fascinating band.

Yeah they've always had that Meat Loaf sound when they want to achieve it. This album draws form all sorts unlike their others. Misfits, The Damned, Depeche Mode, KISS - it's amazing how well they've done it. I'll stop banging on about it now, just glad my love for it is not misplaced 😂
