Also enjoying the CMAT album.
CaledonianGonzo
Couple of clunkers for me on the CMAT album and dunno if it quite hits the heights of the debut - but overall it's very good.

Gejonimo
I'm 304 albums into 2023, and Creeper's is probably my album of the year now. I've listened to it 20+ times since Friday and been recommending it left right and centre. Aside from that, it's probably HMLTD's The Worm and Gabriels' Angels & Queens that are the stand outs from a critical perspective. From a personal perspective, Slow Readers Club, Iggy Pop, Romy, Young Fathers, The Church, 100 Gecs, Beach Fossils all up there. Been a phenomenal year for music. 2019
Just catching up on Later with Jools Holland. Jorja, The National, Szmierek, Wreckless, She She. All just amazing. ...drops mike...
CaledonianGonzo
Just put the Creeper album on on a whim and I believe I've just cum at the Jim Steinman-esque magnificence of the opening track. 1

Gejonimo
Creeper have such potential outside of the gothy emo teens to mid-20s genre. I've been showing to them my 60+ year old parents and even they love it. It's just really good music, drawing influence from all sorts. Top notch stuff. Gnomicide
Listened to the first track. Reminded me vocally of Ed Sheeran. Couldn't get past that, put something else on.

Stokesy10
Loving that Creeper album so far. Never heard of them. Thank you eFest people. Meatloaf and Billy Squier vibes I'm getting so far. Gonna treat it to the proper headphones Friday eve with a few beverages.

Gejonimo
Grinning ear to ear at people enjoying the Creeper album. I hope this kind of word of mouth travels far and they become more and more popular. Once you're done with Sanguivore, delve into their other stuff and read as many interviews as possible with them. They're a fascinating band.
internetjef
Never heard of creeper before but just stuck it on due to all good reviews on here. Big bat out of hell vibes on track 1 ha
Gejonimo
Yeah they've always had that Meat Loaf sound when they want to achieve it. This album draws form all sorts unlike their others. Misfits, The Damned, Depeche Mode, KISS - it's amazing how well they've done it. I'll stop banging on about it now, just glad my love for it is not misplaced 😂
FloorFiller
Yeah Creeper are ace. They’ve dropped the more My Chemical Romance/emo aspects of their sound and upped the goth rock/Steinman to great effect. I loved their previous stuff but this new album is a notch above them imo. And yeah, that first song is a doozy.
Mardy
OK, lot of people I respect and/or like bigging up Creeper on this thread. I'm going in.
Gnomicide
I've given it another go. I thought Magnum were sh*t in the 80s, I'm not changing my mind now.

Mardy
And I'm out. I tell you what, I can see why, if you like that sort of thing, you like this. I don't, sorry. I got as far as the first verse.
