I'd call myself a Gaslight fan, but I didn't like this album. It was so slow and monotone. It sounded like none of them actually wanted to be recording, which given their track history sounds about right. Probably the most boring album of the year for me. Even the Bruce track was just lacklustre.

Whatever AI wizardry it took, John's voice is spine-tingling. 

Especially noticable when you listen back to the 90s tracks.

Not a whole lot for me today, but the two albums I was interested in - Empty Country (ex-Cymbals Eat Guitars) and Green Lung - are both brilliant.

Going to give a few of those mentioned in this thread ago. Only thing I saw out today was new Kevin Abstract (Brockhampton), will give that a go. Looked ahead to the next few months and saw little to look forward to, looking forward to the end of year lists to see what I missed

Completely forgot it was out today but the debut album from Spiritual Cramp is ace - a more upbeat (and generally better) addition to the post-punk stuff coming out the last few years.

There Will Be Fireworks album really is incredible - had it on repeat all day. Making a late surge for a high placing in my AOTY listing. For those who are not familiar, I strongly recommend a listen.

Both names I’ve seen knocking about but never checked out and really enjoying both, especially There Will Be Fireworks - proper lovely stuff. Cheers for the recommendations.

Must have heard A Hard Days Night a thousand times but only today did I realise their was bongos on it.

Bot hit and miss for me. Red Album and Magical Mystery Tour are ace. Walrus and Bulldog not so much.

Just picked up an immaculate set of Red and Blue originals in my local second-hand-atorium after balking at £140 for, essentially, two albums. I'm guess someone else was upgrading and I get the benefit.
