U2 wrote a sing called Glastonbury for their 2010 set.

Fast forward to 2011 and they didn't play it. If that's not special, I don't know what is.

Coldplay (2016) - had the bracelets, although I think they used these in their tour too

Radiohead - hits setlist

Stormzy - special guests and the ballet dancers

Killers - special guests

The Cure - hits setlist (although that might be common, I’m not sure)

McCartney - special guests

Kendrick - unique setlist and show

The Cure was a very standard set for that tour, though it was a ‘festival’ tour so very calibrated.

Springsteen started with a Glastonbury special but after that was as standard a set as he does.

Coldplay wristbands were standard but getting Gibb and Eavis on wasn’t.

Metallica-I think was a normal setlist but do they always do that thing with the fans at the back of the stage?

I think the setlist idea was right - started with 5 Achtung Baby songs with Zoo TV style imagery, then Joshua Tree Tour opening, 2000's hits, Live Aid set and then a few odds & sods at the end. What they got wrong imo was thinking they could just fly in from a US show on a Wednesday night, do Glasto on the Friday, then back on a Sunday. Even if it was pissing it down, I doubt it was exactly fresh. That and looking back at it, they were out of sync with the backing track on the opening song, making it a bit of a messy start.

Someone said they think U2 could do another crack at this but that it would be funny if it was as rainy, which... fair. I think they themselves would be amused to come back only to get soggy again.

Hmmm... that bit is understandable given it was still only just over a year from a pretty substantial back operation he had to have that lead to the planned 2010 date being canned.

At the rate the MCU is declining in quality they’ll hopefully have the good sense to stop making them before that (he says optimistically)

Absolutely. Didn’t help them though, in terms of what they were able to deliver.

Given they have movies and TV shows planned out through to 2026, perhaps not. Saying that, there's so many storylines in parallel splintering around the place that I'm guessing he won't be in all of them.

I got off after Endgame, Spider-Man is the only Phase 4 movie I’ve watched (watched a few of the series too).

Felt like a perfect place to stop.

Won’t be in most of them but could easily get called for the odd cameo which would affect touring plans.

Haven’t missed much. Shang Chi was decent but that’s about it.
