Not that I'm swallowing that. If they are touring I doubt they'd play a festival exclusive that prevents their own dates in France.

Maybe they don't want to do shedloads of dates and are doing big fests in Europe for the $$$. Could see them at Mad Cool for a Spanish exclusive. Werchter might have got them as well which puts them bang into the frame for Glastonbury.

Just being hopeful here.

I dont think they are very suited for multiple-day-fests. Too big.

The Dacca El Pointo scenario is the best possible outcome for me, but my starting position is that it'll never happen.

Watch it be GnR at Hellfest instead. Dreadful stuff.

Or AC/DC fronted by Axl Rose.

Christ, I completely forgot that was a thing.

Yeah I just had a look on setlistfm, not a fan of playing festivals are they. Could only find Coachella 2015 as the most recent case.

I agree. Best poster fake I've ever seen if it is fake. Acdc logo is slightly questionable. Long lightning bolt was older logo...

Not a headliner but is there any chance of the proclaimers making an appearance? See they are doing Latitude the following month.

How long is the walk from Suffolk to Pilton, it's under 500 miles right?

Thankfully it’s fake. Slipknot scheduled for elsewhere on the date stated above.

I don’t think I’d be able to sleep if AC/DC were around next year and the possibility of them topping the pyramid. Absolute fantasy stuff that I could only dream of!

Thankfully?! i was booking my eurostar for that friday.

Do people think bring me the horizon will make an appearance? Not sure where they’d play given they seem set as headliners at other festivals now

They've played a couple of times, but they're another example of a band who are proven headliners elsewhere but don't really have that general mass appeal to headline Glastonbury. See also: Biffy Clyro, Foals.

Didn't they play halfway down the Other Stage in 2016, the year after they subheadlined Reading and Leeds?

No way they will ever headline anything other than maybe the Other Stage tbh, they don't have as much crossover appeal as Metallica for example.

I'm kinda surprised they never tried to get Black Sabbath tbh, I feel like they probably could have done the Pyramid at some point.

Saying that I imagine Ozzy's management would only accept huge money.

The collabs with Sigrid and Sheeran have given them mass appeal - they are a different propostion to when the were on the Other stage in the afternoon in 2019 but then they were up against Kylie who had the biggest Glasto crowd ever at that time.

Said this on the other place too, but I don't think Blur are being discussed enough. We are told they are doing Wembley next July, but would that be their only show? We know for a fact that they're not at IOW/TRSNMT/Latitude and Reading aren't booking them any time soon.

Could be a headliner under our noses all along.

The info I have on their Wembley show in july is solid, no idea if there's other shows, my info comes from  someone involved in the Wembley show.

    • Absolutely love her record, System. Definitely an album that rewards a bit of commitment.   She's right on my must-see list. Hoping she's in the Walled Garden, as I think her sound might be a bit muddy if she's early-ish in Far Out.   Ben
    • Same here, I kept trying to go on A View From My Seat to see if each block was worth it. So vague!
    • Ok, I’ve had time to process the experience now, so here is my review.   The good Barcelona - what a beautiful place! What lovely people! The city was like another headliner. Stayed in El Poblenou, and the bars, cafes and restaurants were perfect. Avalanches - Absolutely spectacular, euphoric set. Fantastic stage. Possibly enhanced by substances that I timed right, for a change. Added bonus that I don’t really remember the queue. The Cure - I’ve been a fan for 34 years, and never got round to seeing them, so this was a dream come true. The XX - The sound was exceptional. The lights and setlist perfect, giving each member their moment. Was really loud where I was standing (between the front and the sound desk), but i didn’t notice any chatters - even during the quieter moments. Also loved Men I Trust, .bd. , Big Thief, NewDad and Gorillaz. The food within Parc Del Fòrum was also a lot better than I was expecting.   The bad People talking non-stop throughout some of the sets, and shouting to be heard over the music. I had to move 3 times during Wet Leg just to be able to hear the band over the crowd. It’s probably an age thing, but I just don’t understand it. You’ve paid how much to watch these acts, and now you’re standing with your back to the stage, missing the music and ruining the experience for everyone else? Odd behaviour.   The weather apocalypse on Thursday. I genuinely thought I would be able to tough it out. I couldn’t. Left after Geese. The lack of communication from Primavera didn’t help.   Whilst it was lovely to be by the sea, and the sunsets were very pretty, the site is a bit…concrete-y, isn’t it? I kind of longed for some grass and trees. Often found ourselves standing on the steps by the Adidas yard by some bamboo. This was probably a subconscious need for some nature. The fact that some of the nature included cockroaches did not negatively affect the experience.   My daughter, for running away when she saw the drug dogs in the queue on Thursday, meaning that I lost her for the whole evening. She hid her stash under a bench, and it miraculously survived the storms.   Also, can someone explain the point in having a wristband, when you still have to show your ticket every time you enter and leave the site?   Finally, I would like to nominate myself as one of the bad things about this year’s Primabera. I should have done Primavera a lot better. It was my first one, so I’m still learning, but I think I left too early on the Thursday. Left after the Cure on Friday, so I would be full of energy on Saturday, and then barely made it to the end of Gorillaz anyway, meaning I missed Overmono, Skrillex, Skullcrusher, Kneecap, and a few more I would have liked to see.   All in all Amazing lineup. Decent food options. Cupra and Cupra Pulse stages were very impressive. Weather was perfect for 3 out of the 4 days i attended.   It was always likely to be a ‘one and done’ for me, but we had a blast, even if I am starting to get too old for all this.
    • That Wednesday Razzmatazz slot is one of the best/prime slots!
    • If they fancy chucking something together last knockings, i'm up for it! 😄 Got to get a cat sitter, but i'm 95% there
