Stay on these Roads, and The Sun Always Shines on TV are really good, my favourites, and I think those who only know the band for one song would be pleasantly surprised by the quality of some later albums like Foot of the Mountain. Never seen them live though.

not to mention this beauty as well

Roxy Music have pretty much zero crossover appeal - there won't be anybody under the age of 40 there.

Which is fine, I guess. But it will be the quietest legends slot in years.

they might not have huge appeal, but they're a solid classic act, exactly the sort of act i expect to see in that slot.

Well I’ll be 34 and I’ll be there, but agree that around my age range is probably the lower limits and there won’t be much interest from many people younger. They don’t have any real big crossover hits that are radio staples like most previous Sunday legends - More Than This and Love is the Drug are the closest I guess but hardly songs that gen z are gonna care much about. I’ve no idea what the crowds were like for the likes of Kenny Rogers, Paul Simon, Ray Davies etc but I imagine it’ll be a similar size to those more dad rock-esque acts rather than the ginormo-crowds of the last few years.

Virginia Plain is the song that always gets played when they get a mention on the music docs isn't it?

I did hear Love is the Drug in an episode of Sex Education a year or so back, but that's probably about it for Gen Z appeal

Paul Simon was a ginormo-crowd. Ray and Kenny both more modest, although the former was impacted by being double-booked with the footie.

inspired by an advert, i just had a great idea for a band for the legends slot, slade would be excellent, loads of bangers, and a great opportunity to dress up. : D

According to wiki the only remaining original member is Dave Hill, so pretty pointless without Noddy.

And they have some good tunes, but zero bangers.
