Decent payday for St Vincent

Very decent.

Swift obviously under absolutely no obligation, but if she does decide to downsize back to typical two-hour performances going forward, half her set might already be made up by those ten number-ones she's had stateside now. (We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, Shake It Off, Blank Space, Bad Blood, Look What You Made Me Do, Cardigan, Willow, All Too Well, Anti-Hero and Cruel Summer, for those counting.)

Just the one listen so far and my initial thoughts are that the main album has been given a refresh. The music has been given a boost and the vocals sound great. 1989 really is a fantastic album, hopefully my vinyl turn up today

As for the vault, not massively blown away yet, I suspect they will be growers. After the absolute banger fest of the Speak Now vault the 1989 vault is a tad more more subtle.

A tough one to re-do. It’s fine, some of them are quite different IMO and the vocals throughout the album seem echoey

The reverb seems to be controversial, in particular on Style, but I love it. This Love is suddenly like the soundtrack to a daydream where it was usually a skip for me previously.

There’s quite a step down after the top six, and again from Midnights to Fearless, but there’s still not an outright bad album in her discography which is very impressive going this far down the road.

Arguably the album that needed it least and also the toughest to replicate given it's up there with the likes of Thriller, Rumours, Purple Rain, Tapestry, Dare, Born In The USA, etc in the pantheon of greatest pop albums of all time

Behave yerself. Not in the same conversation as most of them.

    • Skylink is 24 hours... But the skylink will drop you off at Pegasus business Park or EMA (East Midlands Airport) where you'll have to use the Download shuttle link, which isn't 24 hours. The last shuttle from the Download transport hub to EMA is 12:15 TrentBarton / Local bus info here: https://www.trentbarton.co.uk/download2026   Skylink Derby / Leicester / Loughborough timetable here: https://www.trentbarton.co.uk/services/skylinkderby  Shuttle timetable here: https://www.trentbarton.co.uk/userfiles/hotel.pdf If you miss the shuttle, which is very doubtful, you'll just have to find another way to EMA / Pegasus business park, maybe a taxi. You could even walk to EMA from the Download transport hub, wouldn't take too long. Just make sure you use the airport's 'circular path' instead of the dangerous roads.  I walk the circular path often, it's nice and easy. I would post instructions but I very much doubt you'll miss the shuttle, and if you do, it isn't hard to work out. The footpath is clearly signposted from directly opposite / across the road from where the download map has labelled "Pickup and Drop Off Exit."
    • So for Harry Styles it was actually a plastic bag that basically blocks the view of the front and back cameras. You can still use the phone screen. It's much easier than using lockers, especially for people leaving for the last train etc    I think it's basically reliant on the threat of security kicking you out if you start filming.
    • Hey, does anybody have a joining link for the WhatsApp group plz? I know the secret sets get posted there but have a new phone and number
