Didn’t booking fees use to be per transaction? Or is that just a fantasy I’ve made up. The per ticket is a massive piss take.

Always been per ticket. Be fortunate there arent even more of them. We get a booking fee, facility fee and the thumb in the eye processing fee. Like a standing ticket was around £75? In the u.s. it would end up £100 after all the fees. In vegas its even worse because they have an entertainment tax along with the fees. 9% of face value.

Well that went as well as I thought it would. In that I didn't get tickets.

Nevermind. Guess I'm setting up a Twickets alert. With something like 14 dates and 9 months or so of lead time, I imagine one of them will give me the luck. Either that or do what I did in 2018 and go to Europe instead.

Where are you looking for?

If you missed out, I'd hold on. Thry'll be going for peanuts on the day of each gig. Liam G's Knebworth shows had people just giving their tickets away

I'm expecting to see something like that. While I had my issues trying to score a second hand ticket to their date at Reading earlier this year, I saw a lot of second handers going around during The Killers' run when they did a stadium tour of similar scale this year.

Yeah I reckon if you wait until the day of the gigs, you'll get then for £20 each

They've sold really well. Considering its not a 'small' stadium tour. Most standing for the whole tour has already gone. Am I right in saying this is their first UK stadium tour?

It is yeah. They always said they didn't want to do stadiums in the past.

Yeah it has sold very well , it's a really extensive tour too.

At this scale, absolutely. Think their only prior stadium shows were 2 in Manchester in 2007 and one in Mexico City in 2019.

Last tour sold out very quickly but I genuinely didn't think this would be effectively sold out. And yet, here we are.

I mean, I got tickets to My Chemical Romance in Milton Keynes for £30 off face so I'm not expecting there to be a dealer's choice of tickets that cheap. Even if some friends got lucky with £20 tickets to The Killers in Coventry found on Facebook Marketplace the night before.

There's enough time to filter out though. Maybe in days of yore I would've been more likely to panic and gone "Holy shit I'm gonna miss it".

They may well do but I think Liam G’s attendance was affected by tickets being initially sold about a year out rather than six months and the rail strike that affected transport on the weekend. Maybe.

I'd say incredibly well. It's not just the standing that's sold out, there's barely a seat or hospitality to be had at any of the venues. They've shifted hundreds of thousands of tickets in a few hours.

That's quite some going for a band coming off a commercially unfriendly album and two new songs which aren't, what's the word again, bangers.

They are absolutely massive with my generation. There really isn’t another band bigger in the U.K for the 20 to mid 30’s region. They are the soundtrack of their adolescence.

I think just the quantity of shows on offer makes it plausible there'll be a few tickets for sale, to say nothing of "production hold drops" as can happen with a few stadium dates. I was frustrated with my attempts to grab a ticket for the day trip to Reading, but with 14 dates across the country including 3 shows at about 55,000+ tickets a pop in London, there's got to be some way for those of us who missed out to get in.
