BBC Coverage 2022

Watching the last live sets - i've just had my first gut sinking feeling that this is nearly all over again, weird for me as its 9.30 on Monday morning here. Normally when on site i don't get this feeling because by Sunday i'm just worn out but actually living in the moment, watching the BBC coverage gives a more time to think. Going to miss this watching from home as much as being there i think. Won't be the same watching the replays after Sunday. Sorry for the downer when there's still so much to go, think i might have to have a drink now!

This is the single best Pyramid crowd I’ve ever seen

Kendrick is great and this is a quality set so far. But... It's just karaoke.

You're one of the biggest recording artists in the world. Get a band or something!

So what do you do if you don't like PSB, Bicep or you're not 18?  I guess the answer lies in the people having left Glastonbury earlier to avoid the crowds at the Bristol services stations.

We could just keep watching repeats and chat about it for the week 😁

I feel sorry for anyone who isn't watching Bicep right now...first set I've seen all weekend thats brought on proper FOMO.

It's plain insane.

Primavera changed their schedule a day before the show so I had to miss it after waiting for 30 months, I'm currently having the FOMO of my life.

I think there is, you just can't see them. Drums definitely sound live.

I'd be at Charli right now (and loving life) but would've also been loving life at Kendrick, PSB or Bicep. Seriously cruel clash.

Easy choice for me it would be Kendrick. Not even a massive fan as it isnt my thing but he's an artist I have to see at some point. Dont care for PSB tbh and Charli XCX strikes me as an act that would be better at her own show as opposed to a festival.

Wtf you talking about, you go and wander around and have fun at one of the other 100 or so stages.

    • Personally if it was me now, I would be grabbing a green camping ticket with the knowledge closer when I've refreshed that I can still choose general if I want to....you can't do the opposite!    I would say if you are happy to watch your headliners and big bands further back to be able to see who you actually plan to later then yes it is fine. Its a much difference experience to any other festival especially food wise and camping surrounds.    Once you're in the arena as well you're not going back unless you've got a gap. If I go again I'll be going with the option of not trying to push the front and enjoying further back as you actually put too much pressure on it than the time take away can forget to enjoy other acts.
    • No complaints about the sound. We were like 2nd set of steps facing stage right in like the middle row.
    • On the whole then, yay or nay...I've had a look on festivals united and there's people who seem converted by Rock Im Park, I can imagine it might be different if it was a washout as RaR is tarmac.   The hotel side would be more to convince the non campers if it's an option. On my first visit to rock am ring we were shuttled into the area where you could stick the car next to the tent which was fantastic as it meant zero lugging of camping gear.
    • An interesting thing this. Having seem them several times (some of their gigs veer into back catalogue niche territoty), I partly agree they arent Pyramid material (theough modern defeinition of 'bangers' although I could see them headlinging the Other stage) I can't think of another festival in the world that they couldn't headline - Reading, IoW, BST, Rock Wercheter, Roskilde, etc etc.
