  1. Of the 3 headliners I would go and see Billie just for curiosites sake, as I would like to see how she handles the stage/occasion. I like some of her songs, but it's not what I would call 'festival music' - but I think it's pretty incredible she is only 20 and headlining on the Friday. Good luck to her. Paul - 0 interest. Kendrick - I love rap music, but i don't like a lot of his experimental stuff, so I could take it or leave him.
  2. It was a very good festival, the actual site itself (in my opinion) when the weather is good - is the best in the UK.
  3. I just woke up now and grabbed 2 tickets, so don't think it's sold out? Absolute bollocks there is no payment plan.
  4. SGP was a bloody good festival, went in 2014 and 2016 - it's a lovely festival site as well. I'll definetly be back on boiard if it returns next year.
  5. As we are reaching the end of the month, anyone else reckon that was one of the worst summers of recent memory? It just doesn't feel like it was ever particularly warm at all and the much hyped 'freedom' was all a bit of a fizzle out. People were predicting last days of rome style celebrations, but we've sort of wandered into September and I don't really remember summer evben starting...
  6. Hmmmm thats a shame, thanks for the responses
  7. Whats the situation with visting the festival site at the moment? If you just wanted to walk through. I know they have the camping, but is it possible yet to have a wander about?

  10. Frustrating that the governments insurance and support has probably all come a bit too late. Had several festivals lined up this year but they all bit the dust in July. Didn't have much of an interest in the festivals in August, Wilderness etc - all a bit to tweed for me. Ah well, onwards for next year.
  11. Good, hopefully people continue to do it in shops. The virus is rampant and will continue to be, I'm going to wear mine in shops.
  12. Masks were always about the consideration of people around you - not yourself.
  13. Yeah well said that mate, bullshit people taking the piss out of that.
  14. I don't know what your point is. 'It's not lethal if you are under 50, therefore stop worrying?' It's stupid, people don't like being sick full stop. So the level of fear is totally understandable given the circumstance.
  15. Theres a virus going around thats extremely tranmissable and can knock you on your ass for a week if not more. No shit people don't want to catch it, in the middle of summer...... Even if it poses no lethal risk. I don't generally like being ill, do you? On a personal level, I don't equate 'it's not going to kill you' to - 'its totally fine to catch it'....
  16. Big difference between not following social distancing rules between a group of friends and entering a packed out pub with 150+ strangers with cases rabid.
  17. I don't think I will - but we shall see. The government will realise that the economy coming back full swing is related to cases. They could have kept a bit more control and not open the flood gates complete. I predict some u turns within the fortnight.
  18. The pubs can't be propped up infefinetly by those that don't give a shit. As others have pointed out, people are in for a shock. It's clear the vast majority of people are concerned. None of my mates are going into a rammed pub until double jabbing and things due down.
  19. I keep hearing this nonsense "the exit wave we had to have"A Anyone who doesn't think people like whitty and vallance are shitting it behind closed doors are kidding themselves.
  20. They should have finished the vaccine program and got more people over 20 double jabbed. End of story.
  21. We will be back at 100k plus cases by end of next week. This is going to go tits up and quickly. Anyone who doesn't think restrictions are going to be in place by end of summer is having a laugh. They've rushed this imo and should have waited.
  22. If we are at 100k + cases a day soon and I want to sociallise, then it's highly likely I'll catch it again in some capacity? I just think its funny that people are waving off large parts of society potentially being ill at the same time as 'fine'. It's the first time I've said capiche in probably 15 years, but felt appropriate at the time....
  23. I've had the flu once im my lifetime, I've already had COVID once and likely catch it again within the next few months. Considering the virus has been in the country for around 18 months, thats a significant difference. That's a big difference in how quickly it spreads, capiche? People who say 'oh its just the flu'. The flu is fucking shit and not something you want to catch on the regular. Unless we just want to live in a society where being pretty ill with flu like symptoms every few months is 'fine'....
