These are the daily maximum temperatures for the festival indicated by these models, where available at this time range.

They are all up a notch on yesterday, particularly UKMO which goes for a hot Saturday as well as Sunday now.   The GEM is much lower on Friday, as it’s bringing in cloud and patchy rain (as per the BBC app currently).

ECM, GFS, GEM, ICON, UKMO

Wednesday: 21,22,21,23,22

Thursday: 22,23,23,24,24

Friday: 21,23,18,22,24

Saturday: 23,24,23,,27

Sunday: 25,26,25,,26

It's a 30% chance of rain occuring in that hour slot. Which means that the chance of it not raining in that hour slot is 70%. So the chance of it consistently not raining at all is like 0.7^10, i.e. basically zero.

It's going to rain.

Only true if they're statistically independent events, which they're not.

I saw this! They are showing rain all day.

Where are they getting that from?

BBC used to use the Met office and were quite accurate, in an attempt to save money they now get their info from Dave down the pub, who has a weather station from Amazon on his shed.

Sunscreen/cream is handed out free on site, did I read that somewhere?

Just so I don't have to buy any Wed morning.

Yes but it's default stuff - if you want anything nice get it to bring with you

Mr Dixon revealed that Pilton will probably sit near the boundary of the two contrasting weather fronts, but it is currently expected to fall on the dry side of that split.

Obviously delighted with this forecast, but what do the low overnight temps mean for clothing? Shorts and brave it? Think trackies? A 17th Century esque robe?

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
