True. The big run there for a lot of the crowd will be People of the Pride to Sky Full of Stars. Whiney acoustic guitar music will be well catered for elsewhere so I can’t see them going back to the first 2 albums much.
Might be a couple of tweaks for Glastonbury especially if they’ve got any guests but this will be pretty much it. I’d love to see Every Teardrop of Magic back in at the expense of a couple of new album tracks. Feel like it loses momentum a bit after Sky Full of Stars.
Just checked the setlists for 2011 and 2016 and Monsieur Duck de Toilette is absolutely correct, 6 from their current album in 2011, 7 in 2016. I remember both as being crowd pleasing sets, so clearly the new songs didn't detract on those occasions.
I guess I might have to give the new record another spin. I listened to it once on the day it came out, was not impressed and never played it again. The previous record (Everyday life) however I really enjoyed.
