As much as I want this to be true, I can't see it.  Ive never seen Annie sing live and she's in my top 3 "need to see live before i die".  Annie could very well pull off the legend slot as a solo act, but not with the Eurythmics.  In her solo set she does Eurythmics songs as well as solo hits.  I just can't see Annie in the legend slot without doing "walking on broken glass" as well as "sweet dreams" 

 

My pipe dream of a legend slot is Missy Elliott. She would kill it.

This is a good shout actually. Not someone I'd have considered for it at all but he certainly fits the criteria mentioned. He'd have a bigger crowd than Roxy Music too.

Same.  Me & the Mrs have been saying that Missy would be killer headliner, let alone legends slot.  In the dark with the light show/lasers - that field would go off.

I've mentioned Annie Lennox for Legends since about 2016.  Keep praying, but seems unlikely.

This is a long shot, but I'm reacting to the clue that the rumoured act would piss off some folks - what about Weird Al Yankovic? Was/Is he as popular in the UK as the States? I suspect not, but worth asking.  I saw him play a festival in NYC once and he commanded the biggest crowd of the weekend.  All those parodies of hits were massive sing alongs.  And he wore all the costumes, including the Michael Jackson "Fat" suit.
