kalifire
Getting the scorching weekend out of the way first suits me just fine. My ideal Glasto temperature is a degree or two either side of 20. Low teens overnight. Shorts all weekend.

By that point the ground had absolutely no chance.

briddj
The new GFS run is well under way. Not in the festival timeframe yet. But these charts for Wednesday 15th are a good indicator of how much more certainty there is within a 5-day window. Left is the second-last run, right is the latest run. We’d need pretty apocalyptic rain for it to get that bad on a bone dry site. Even the worst gfs runs only looked like a few cm if I’m reading them right? Ground should be totally fine. AlexOvd
AccuWeather adding an extra day on rain on the festival, if I am not wrong before they were giving two. Edited June 11, 2022 by AlexOvd

Yes they are, but if you look at what they are referring to as rain there, it's very low amounts. 0.7mm on Thursday, 0.8 on friday, 2.8 on Saturday. Only the Saturday one is of any consequence. stuartbert two hats
I'd be really curious how the site today would cope with 2005 like conditions. Remember those pictures of a lake full of tents? That's now a massive ditch that will drain the water away rapidly. Now it's not as if everything would be fine, but it would be much, much better. briddj
Sunday's rain has now gone. Latest on the right. And Sunday now Scorchio. Latest on the right. Way, way too early for Sunday for those worried about the heat.
