It originally it started As a thank you after party for the locals for their support of the festival despite the disruption! I guess it kinda grew into something bigger! Also a bit of a fund raiser for local groups, the beer, cider and tee shirts I think are sold by them.

Unless this country gets on top of things in the next few weeks then you may well be correct on both counts. TBF it's not been marketed that way for a long time. It's now promoted solely as a fundraiser for locals. The 'keeping it local' bit is taken care of by the initial physical sales from the Children's World office in town followed by a day or two of sales from the farm then online sales (which I would guess incurr a cost). Emily/the festival are not shy of tweeting about the Party and ticket sales. It is, after all, more important to sell out the tix to ensure maximum funds are available for Pilton (and very well spent they are too). The priority would appear to be to sell all of the tix in the shortest time frame. Oh, and then to Party 😎. Well last year we bought two ticket, 6 cans lager, couple of soft drinks, food, and two tee shirts so it’s nice to know that profits went to the local community!

Homer
Got told off months back for suggesting that Glastonbury festival wouldn't happen - so I will say Yes. Of. Course. It. Will. Happen.
TootingPoplularFront
Any word lately on Pilton Party? Of all venues, it must be one of safest (outdoors, huge field, limited tickets, 3 months after pubs will open). It probably needs the council to sign off the HSE? Yeo-vile idiot
The Pilton Flower show weekend has been all but cancelled. As I understand it so it’s not likely sadly. Edited July 2, 2020 by Yeo-vile idiot

Sdsm123
I think as we’re not allowed to visit the farm at the moment, it will be most likely that they will still be restricting access come September! Therefore it’s a not happening from me unfortunately

Leyrulion
Could see it happening only as a pilot of social distancing or hygiene procedures for the 21 festival.
Freddyflintstonree
Yeah I'd say there's a fair chance of it happening. Not a good chance, but a fair chance.

Or even run it in a bigger field , after all , it’s a gig that raises money for the pilton village .
