I'm miserable. I've been miserable for weeks, but with it being the 'week of' and the glorious weather I'm even more miserable today. I should be sitting in a Somerset field drinking cider right now.

And I wouldn't have even been going this year anyway (I was meant to be going to a wedding this weekend which was obviously cancelled).

I miss it so much. The thought of not getting tickets in the (re)sale makes me a bit nauseous.

It might end up working out for you...at least you're not at the wedding missing out while everyone else is at the festival!  Hopefully you'll get tickets next time and the wedding will be on a different date so win win 😊

Yeah they've already confirmed the wedding next year is the weekend before Glastonbury. Thank god!

Does the thought 'God, I hope I don't die before the next Glasto' cross anyone else's mind?

Not until you mentioned it! Although I am due some medical treatment and my one specification is tht it can’t stop me going to Glastonbury!
I guess if the op goes wrong and I do Micheal has agreed to put my ashes under the pyramid!!!
have no plans to miss another one though!!

I'm feeling better today, yesterday was the bummer.

Now I'm looking forward to 5 days off work with more relaxed distancing guidelines so I might be able to actually see some people :)

Wish I wasn't at work. Having to cancel the annual leave and accept all the meetings has been a pain and ideally id just be sitting, wallowing in the iplayer sets.

Glastonbury's always a time to reflect for me, and to take stock so i'm doing a bit of that.

Looking forward to the weekend being over and for the first time ever, knowing i'm going to glasto next year in July!

Loving the coverage so far, obviously gutted, lots of teary moments of sadness and joy, that Nick Cave moment with the girl in the crowd! Laura's on now, an angel, live her. I'm thoroughly going to enjoy every moment I can over the weekend with thoughts for next year,  my fingers firmly crossed for everything

Yes me too 🙂

We've made our fake glasto lineup, and I have a few hours left of work before four glorious days off. My friend is coming over early tomorrow so we can prepare a Goan fish curry and get some breakfast ciders in, and then music starts at 1. Even the scattered showers don't look so bad....

Breakfast ciders... Nice!

I've got sushi stuff ready to make some Happy Maki style sushi burritos, cider and frozen margaritas.

The sun better hold out and at least give us tomorrow!

I would be worrying too, I hate that type of thing. 'Oh I need to talk to you about something later on'. Just talk to me now dammit.

I hope the news is good mate.

Nearly 24 hours later I have had my call!

Thankfully nothing to worry about at this point, just some updates on the company's successful round of funding and new projects for us to apply for coming up. Should hopefully make it a bit more secure in these uncertain times.

I was doing ok, but this just pushed me over the edge and made me actually emotional!

It’s beautiful but I probably could have done without seeing the imagery 😭😭😭

Glad it’s nothing bad. Very frustrating that they couldn’t give you that indication last night.

I feel really rubbish today too. I haven't watched any of the iplayer or even listened to the radio 😕

I thought all this going on would be good fun but its just more difficult I think

I know what you mean.  I've had radio 6 on all day, its nice to relive the memories but I do wonder if its making me wallow in my misery a bit more than I should be

Posted in the other thread but am feeling pretty miserable. Horrible week at work and had to turn the radio off earlier as the 6music relentless coverage was big time bumming me out. Hoping to get it together to watch at least some sets over the weekend. Just nothing fun to look forward to.

It’s my birthday next month, that’s something for us all to look forward too.

This is shit isn’t it. And it looks it’s going to rain and ruin our garden party plans to boot.

This. I thought it would be quite nice, I mean it was never going to be the same, but i didn't expect it to make me feel so rubbish.

I feel the same, I have watched maybe 30mins max of the iplayer and haven't had heard more than 20mins of the radio. Its just making me really sad.

I've been saying to my fella "oh we'll have to do Glastonbury at home" "it will be cute" "we have to make the most of it"  but really all that's happened is I feel really fed up and then feel worse because I feel like i should be enjoying it even tho am proper not.

    • No dramas man, I just like to follow others journeys as well. Get the inspiration, give out inspiration and the outdoors is the clear the head place to do it. I'm heading out for a easy trail run today I think, 10k- 10 mile we'll see how we go. I've got a half marathon in October I'm well unprepared for hahs
    • The Cheap Thrills at Mountford Hall, Liverpool.    They've been around for a while and have built up a large local following. Last night was their biggest yet, at a sold out 2,200 capacity venue.    It was a big old joyous, indie singalong from start to finish, the band clearly having the time of their lives. The debut album is out next month and they seem to be going down well on the festival circuit, maybe their time has finally come.   2 supports, I unfortunately missed Credits but the few songs they have on Spotify sound good, Americana vibes. The other was M60, reportedly Gary Neville's favourite band. If that's true, he's as clueless about music as he is football. To be fair, their sound was poor, maybe with a clearer sound they'd have been better but it was pretty dull.
    • I can see them all merging along with the Tory’s . Restore curently couldn’t muster enough candidates to be a viable option . I lasted 4 mins and couldn’t watch any more . Lowe is just dull along with racist
