To be fair Ian Brown has shown himself to be a total crank who thinks covid is a hoax and that 5G has something to do with it. He shouldn't be your best bet for forwarding the anti vaccine passport argument.

Also his music is godawful. Be a bonus if this stops him playing live again.

Completely unbelievable new track from Ian Brown:

I suspect the big issue will be contracts. Full time WFH requires a different contract to 'in office'. A hybrid may still trip up with HMRC. That issue is currently being 'ignored' due to the govn WFH directive and (I believe) covered by the Coronovirus Act legislation.

Pre COVID, my contact allows me to WFH 1 day a week with Team Leader approval, mainly due to there not being sufficent desk space in the office but my main place iof work is still the office. When it was explored about some people working from home full time then that requires a new contract. But even this 1 day WFH was an issue as basically everyone took friday to WFH so the desk space issue was is never resolved.

There is also a host of health and safety issues with WFH that are currently being ignored/tolerated due to the pandemic. But your company has a duty to ensure your workplace complies with health and safety..... suitable chair, etc. If people WFH, that workplace is still the companies responsibility. And it will be much easier for many businesses to say 'come back to the office' rather than start unpicking the H&S and contractual issues from WFH.

Regarding chairs, specialist desks, extra monitors etc.... basically everything, I’ve had to order this for my team to ensure all H&S requirements are met.  Not cheap though is it.......  I’d be very surprised if we ever went back to the old way or working again and we’re a government department.

In his defense, I've always quite liked this song for some reason:

I do wonder if further down the line, people who believe it's all a hoax will look back on their contributions to the pandemic and be ashamed of themselves, will realise they were talking complete jobbies or if they'll just double down and insist for the rest of their lives it was all a load of fuss about nothing

Should have checked, Ian Brown’s new single already posted by @Brave Sir Robin

My boss also got a call and he wasn't sure why and he asked GP and said it was a clerical error and so he is not going to get it yet now!

I was pfizered yesterday and had exactly the same confirmed to me. I am 33 with no health issues whatsoever. I had an email from someone high ranking at my GP practice confirming that “NHS digital” decide who gets it / who fit into group 6 and that it had all been “a bit of a mess”. There have certainly been clerical errors inviting those just like me in early. They told me as i’d already booked my vaccine by this point that i was fine to attend.

if you get contacted out of the blue just accept it book it and go i say!

i’ll be 2nd dosed around the time the pubs open 😂

Got a sneaking suspicion that compliance % would have dropped significantly this weekend if anywhere I’ve been is a snapshot in to the rest of the country!

Gives a glimpse in to how difficult it’s going to be for the government to make this last all the way to June 🤷‍♂️

Went for an illegal picnic in a park yesterday with a friend (what a badass) and the park was absolutely full of fellow picnic-ers. Many weren’t in groups of 2 either. Game’s up Boris.

    • Based on previous times that rules quite a lot out of early summer festivals into the August runs.
    • No dramas man, I just like to follow others journeys as well. Get the inspiration, give out inspiration and the outdoors is the clear the head place to do it. I'm heading out for a easy trail run today I think, 10k- 10 mile we'll see how we go. I've got a half marathon in October I'm well unprepared for hahs
    • The Cheap Thrills at Mountford Hall, Liverpool.    They've been around for a while and have built up a large local following. Last night was their biggest yet, at a sold out 2,200 capacity venue.    It was a big old joyous, indie singalong from start to finish, the band clearly having the time of their lives. The debut album is out next month and they seem to be going down well on the festival circuit, maybe their time has finally come.   2 supports, I unfortunately missed Credits but the few songs they have on Spotify sound good, Americana vibes. The other was M60, reportedly Gary Neville's favourite band. If that's true, he's as clueless about music as he is football. To be fair, their sound was poor, maybe with a clearer sound they'd have been better but it was pretty dull.
    • I can see them all merging along with the Tory’s . Restore curently couldn’t muster enough candidates to be a viable option . I lasted 4 mins and couldn’t watch any more . Lowe is just dull along with racist
