Starting to worry a bit that RandL haven’t fully thought through the two stages thing, and that now they’re struggling to accommodate it - seems like something they’d accidentally do!

They’re not amateurs setting up a festival for the first time in a car park 😛

Not sure if it's been mentioned on here but Sea Girls have a nice gap in their tour dates for R&L.

Think Truck is a great lineup for new bands, I'd happily take Fontaines D.C, Idles, Circa Waves, Sports Team, Shame, The Lathums, The Big Moon, The Snuts, Dinosaur Pile Up, Black Honey, Vistas, Pigs x7, The Mysterines and Talk Show.

Would be a huge disappointment if Truck have managed to bag all of these ahead of R/L, especially as Idles and Fontaines DC were booked for last year before it got cancelled.

They will be offered bigger slots at truck though.

For any Amazon’s fans here, that R&L Mill Twitter page just posted saying that they will NOT be playing this year as the band said on Twitch ‘The Zons will not be playing Reading this summer. We will be playing other festivals. We shall attend if we can...but we will not be playing.’

When's the full lineup ever been out in April? Most fests have just put out their first announcement. C H I L L L L L

Considering they announced in August and we havent seen much more since you can understand why people are getting impatient.

Very unusual to get anything as early as August though, so can’t expect normal timings between announcements

To be honest R&L might be waiting to the announce lineup depending on how travel works come June time and what the restrictions are. As they might not want to announce a lineup with a lot of American acts and then have to pull them so they may even have 2 provisional lineups in the pipeline

Quite possibly. I think once we start seeing the Euro plans and how that plays out we will get more of an insight.

Bummer, love the lads, hoping they follow through with their promise of a Purple Turtle gig. Maybe secret set worthy too

Gerry Cinnamon’s UK/Ireland tour - which was due to end in July - is now being rescheduled.

That’s probably due to the gigs before June 21st not being able to be rearranged. Nothing to worry about

    • Consider that the sound quality can be better near the front bars right behind the soundbooth rather than closer to the stage, like with mbv. And of course, the front sections are full of talkers too.   The most courteous move would be to have conversations in the very back of the field.
    • I mean...I do think it all needs more regulation, but god knows how when it's all so global...but there's so much stuff on there that is messing with our little minds. But also, he has given these companies till September, and well...he'll surely be gone by then. I think social media ban for under 16s will likely happen, but I think regulating it for everyone is better. It's the not the kids we should be worried about, it's all those middle aged doom scrolling keyboard warriors like me.
    • I agree the prices are tough for locals. You can see if Porto timetable is the type that works for you and it's a terrific city. Also cheaper. https://www.primaverasound.com/es/porto/lineup-porto
    • thanks XXialac! i guess for us the most important aspect will be a festival that starts very late in the day, specially in these southern countries were it can be really hot! The combination of visiting a new city, having good lunches and enjoying a festival is a absolute must for us. Also, we like headliners but the undercard is just as important; truly enjoyed Men I trust, NewDad, Big Thief this year so from that angle it is not really a big thing if a festival is somewhat smaller.    Apparently my bad, i had 5 in my system but 0.5 (10%) increase is still huge. I am not sure how teenagers can afford these prices............
