Same here, as the rock headliner QOTSA seem to be dividing even the rock fans. Still can't work out why BMTH haven't headlined or even co-headlined, it's about time they were given a go

I think this year because they have their September tour which they'll be pushing to sell out and do festivals next year

with this hypothetical argument of who’d headline if the americans can’t, do we think Foals are ruled out now because of the Monday APE date?

Assuming that sells out ASAP I suspect they could be pulled in

Guess you’d need someone at the minimum of Foals sizish to replace Post Malone, QOTSA could proplbably be done by Wolf Alice or similar at a push

Yeah doesn't make sense to be headlining reading which is so close to London on the same weekend so it kinda rules them out. Best we can hope for is a Foals secret set

The K’s have 3 festival announcements in 2 days (starting at 6pm tonight) - one to keep an eye on as I think they’ll be added to the lineup - ties in with end of august festivals announcing this week (APE / Victorious)

Could be any three of Kendal, Y Not, Truck and R&L, although they'll surely be booked for the lot

Foals, Biffy Clyro, Wolf Alice for Queens / Dave, Skepta, Lewis Capaldi for Posty

Kendal and Isle of Wight are both announcing line-ups tomorrow so I'd assume that'll be two of them. So it'll either be Tramlines, YNOT, Truck or R&L announcing tonight at 6 unless there's another festival I've forgotten or a festival like Community (As Community or under a different name perhaps)

Have you seen Wolf Alice’s tour they announced a few days ago? They’re way off headlining R&L.

Foals in place of Posty would be a dream.

Yeah as much as I love them, they're nowhere near headline size or even QotSA size. QotSA play arenas, WA have announced a bunch of academys. Hell, Shikari are playing the same size or bigger venues on their next tour as WA and they're nowhere close to hl size.

potentially, either r+l, her doing wireless - or both. i think she definitely has at least one other festival here to announce, or i would imagine she would've been billed as exclusive otherwise

Shes already billed on Longitude in Ireland run by FR and i could definitely see her being a crowd pleaser (maybe on the same day as Doja Cat)

dave is exclusive to parklife

Shit, Skepta then, or maybe another dance act, Calvin Harris would potentially go down pretty well

I’d take The 1975 headlining every year forevermore after their 2019 performance.

Same here, incredible band, every night every year would be fine by me

Calvin Harris is one of the most expensive artists to book to come to events- so i doubt we would see him at R&L as a replacement act to be honest.

tbh i dont see why international acts cant play (at this point), considering sporting people and others in similar industries are able to do so at the moment, and the majority of these acts will almost certainly be able to afford private jets, relevant testing etc... potentially even vaccines before most people too. i can only see it not be as feasible for some of the smaller acts, but for headliners and subs... queens, dababy, doja cat etc, i dont see why not at all

I so agree, with events like the Euros and Olympics happening this summer I can only see that musicians, especially as you say, the bigger acts already on the bill will be fine and can travel to perform.
