Just reading a few news stories about people not getting tickets and how they are posting on twitter their anger. A few of the tweets are posted while the tickets are on sale. Now I'm not the fastest on "The Twitter" and I am relatively old but surely if you are posting on social media you are not concentrating on the actual sale. Am I just slow and old or does anyone else see no sense in posting about buying tickets when you should be buying the tickets x

Some fiery exchanges on Twitter in the aftermath of the sale but seems to have calmed down now. I guess people are quite good at multi tasking nowadays given the amount of people walking down the street whilst looking at their phones!

If you’re doing anything other than pressing F5 then your chances diminish.

Get your head down and focus for 30 minutes.

If after that you are ticketless, at least you did everything within your power.

I couldn't even get on eFests during the sale, yet alone the booking page.

it was troublesome and hitting the 'too many connections' limit fairly often, but i didn't have any problems getting a server response - and thought that's how it was for everyone.

So now i know I need to tweak a 2nd setting, and will do somewhen soon.

Amen brother. I made the mistake of checking the twitters and saw quite a few complaining that they never got in by letting the page auto-refresh. That's every 20 seconds!! Do it once every five seconds with F5 and you've quadrupled your chance automatically!

Baffling.

Christ say what you really think Julie... It's a lottery plain and simple. No bias.

I failed on ticket day for the last festival and ended up volunteering but I didn't claim of any north/south divide and that was the year they seemed to have server problems too.

The only time i stopped refreshing either my phone or laptop was to check on Efests if there were any links or any issues being reported as people are usually quick to help around here. The rest of the time i was fully concentrating on refreshing.

Don’t sweat it. It was a choice between refreshing this page and refreshing the ticket page, had no time to do both.

It’s crazy isn’t it?

I just can’t get my head around people like Julie!

I saw some really angry comments in reply to EE's tweet about the sell out. I think a lot of these people throw their arms up in the air in an entitled rage, but very quickly forget about it and move on to the next thing.

Again, if you're dedicated and persistent you will get tickets through the resale or secret sales. I think most of us have been there at some point and it just takes sheer persistence.

Yeah this was my point. You never know when a window will open up. It could be a matter of a millisecond and if you are detracted for half the time you are limiting your chances. My girlfriend takes the piss as I'm completely zoned in at 9am. F5, wait a second, F5, wait again. Not loading, stop, F5 repeat till tickets are secured. Tweeting isn't even in my mind haha

I ended up having to Tweet a message of support to Emily, as it was so out of order, there is no need for Keyboard Warriors to take it out on Emily / Family.

Lots of people in my crew got in to get tickets, who previously hadn't;t had a sniff, I briefed them all to only use whats app for emergencies and focus on pressing F5 regularly.

You're never more than 6 foot from a Scouser at Glastonbury. I'm intrigued to know where Julie has been hanging out. Probably with all the la-di-la's (which must be a posh scouse version of la-di-da's).

I'm from the Midlands. I'm not quite posh enough to vote tory or have a second house in the south of france but not quite ready to race whippets and eat bread 'n' drippin'. Does this mean I have a 50/50 chance of getting a ticket?

Haven't you heard? It's all based on where you're from. It's all conspiracy against [insert where you live if you didn't get a ticket].

Remember the theory from a few years back that there were so many people from in and around Liverpool there because they had better internet than most of the country? Happy days.

Wasn't it that it was because the see tickets servers office was located in Liverpool? Swear I remember seeing something along those lines
