It's a tent that does a surprisingly decent job of shutting out the outside world as best could be expected from a tent. Nice and dark and cool which was a nice reprieve from the sun in 2019, the carpet isn't very comfy though.

The Muddy Ones are well storied but do people keep the same data on Hot Ones? I've only ever been to '17 and '19 but they were both hot. 2019 felt particularly brutal - I ended up watching the end of Yesterday in a cinema tent at one point just to get out of the sun and a mate was absolutely burned to a crisp. Just curious as to whether those were outliers because the expectation I had before attending was mud, mud, rain and mud...

You can see the tent formerly known as John Peel on this map and you can see the size of it. As others have mentioned the whole area is getting a big refurbishment this year so it's anybody's guess what the surrounding area will look like exactly. But you can get a good idea of the size of it from a few YouTube videos. While it's not A Big Stage it's definitely not "small" either.

My unpopular opinion is that the demographic for this site (usually older, usually "veterans") creates the perfect atmosphere for complaining about things that don't matter. You'll have the time of your life (as will the people complaining).

This’ll be the first year our group will be in our 30s so we’ll be trying our best to be grownups and not just start the day with warm Carling and cigarettes. How are people boiling their water for tea/coffee? Is there a better way than just putting a pan of water over a gas stove? I’ve seen people mention jetboil, are these a necessary alternative or just a luxury? For those cooking bacon and eggs, how’s the washing up situation? Sorry for the newbie questions, you can probably tell none of us are the outdoorsy types.
