Rock en Seine announcing RATM tomorrow then, i've got no doubt about that but why would R&L not announce at the same time? which i'm assuming they wont as they haven't given a date or time yet, do we think we'll get something in the morning saying 'TONIGHT 8PM'

I think they will but only Rage, then they’ll say wait till Thursday for more and release the rest then

Not after all the grief they've been getting, people have been hounding on them to release the line up and if they just give one name and keep people waiting thats a shit storm waiting to happen, even if that name is RATM

I still have a feeling that Gorillaz are the curve ball booking this year.

The weird thing is they could fit the bill for quite a few things yet to be announced - All Points East, Hyde Park, the non-Community day at Finsbury Park, the missing day on the TCT bill at the Albert Hall. Don't think they've ever done Reading but I think they'd go down pretty well.

No, black morph suit, slightly more formal than a Barney costume, and keeping the fine balance between fun, emo and altogether stupid

Excellent. Probably the most appropriate colour for such an endeavour as well.

Look at the post, does it cut out some places on the European map, for example the main piece of the poster kinda looks like France, square with a few dints, UK underneath.

is there method to my madness? Or am I heavily clutching at straws?

Doesn't look like France or UK. Still happening, but no need to go full Tom DeLonge.

Still boggles my mind that Rage were only 4th down in 2000, when they could have probably headlined that year. Any older heads clue me in on this peculiarity?

After a quick scan It looks like they replaced Eminem on the lineup. I also seem to remember people saying that they just generally wanted to play the festival no matter the slot.

If memory serves they were added to the bill late as they’d announced their impending split and wanted to play one last time.

That explains.

Still, that would be like someone of the ilk of Biffy Clyro or Muse or any established headliner being shoehorned into a late afternoon slot this year!

Hoping for the lineup to randomly drop tomorrow. I’m in an exam 9-11:30 then again from 12:30-3 so would be a nice surprise to come out of an exam to see a lineup.

New Enter Shikari single tomorrow night, but before anyone starts speculating them to be back I have it on good authority they won’t be. (not that anyone expected them to be)

EDIT: too late lmao

    • First outdoor gig of the season for me last night. David Byrne in a soaking wet St Anne’s Park. Absolutely spectacular (didn’t expect anything less to be fair!). If you get a chance to catch him on this tour, don’t hesitate. At least half the set were Talking Heads classics. Marvellous all round (ok, I’ll let him away with the song about how much he loves his apartment😁).  IMG_1177.dng

    • Don Broco secret set.
    • Regarding PinkPantheress: I watched the ending of The Cure from the back and then bolted straight to Cupra to save spots on the steps for my entire festival crew. Thus, we all had a good experience there. Sucks that not everybody got to properly see it, but it felt like something out of Glastonbury where those who showed up long in advance got to see a big artist on a smaller stage in good conditions.
