They were late and disappointing. But apparently they were in 2002 as well so I don't think it's a barrier. Besides, FR have booked them for Download so it would be fine.

Won't be happening however. Only UK show.

Ah ok thanks!

Felt the same about KOL and their antics in 2009.

Axl seems to have chilled out a little since getting back with Slash. Would be a very good booking, and they played three and a half hours at Download the other year!

True - momentarily forgot about KOL getting an encore go, and people being underwhelmed by it, while on top of this, it does seem a lot of the issues that went on in the interim after it became Axl+friends had stopped.

I thought there was talk of Scottish show or is the Spurs stadium show billed as a UK exclusive?

Frusciante just rejoined RHCP - lets see if they play

Let's hope so, seen the RHCP twice, 1997 (Navarro) and 2017 (Klinghoffer), and never managed to see what i would class as the best RHCP line up!

Did anyone watch the Marsicans on the BBC Intro Stage this year? Think they might be back?

No but I caught them opening the R1 stage one of the days in 2018 and they were good. Think 3 years in a row for such a small band may be a bit much but could see them popping up mid FR if they do.

Incidentally his last ever performance with them was at Leeds '07.

They were poor and Arcade Fire blew them off the stage by the way.

They were truly, truly awful that night, you could tell they were bored of their sculls, endless end of tour jams broken up by the odd song. The worst headline set I can remember off the top of my head. GNR whenever they were maybe worse

You know theres an edit button^?

how much would MCR cost? roughly compared to a similar act anyway? really think they would be an awful booking with the way the festival is going I think rhcp is a far better choice if they are about. Very little crossover vs like FoB/Panic/Foos/other older r&l demographic acts that are massive or get airplay on like capital

you would seriously take RHCP over MCR

    • I'm inclined to agree, but if GC sell out the dates they have in Nov, I'm not sure they'd settle for 3rd down is my feeling
