Some weird billing’s here based on the Glastonbury predictions on efests.

Obviously it’s an Irish festival, so acts like Dermot Kennedy, Picture This and Snow Patrol are gonna get inflated billing’s due to popularity.

but Wolf Alice ahead of Little Simz is an interesting one given many thing they can’t command a huge spot at Glastonbury (a festival they’re close with etc).

Kojaque so low is bizarre, he’s huge with the EP crowd.

Megan subbing Dermot Kennedy - the kind of billing that definitively rules her out of headlining any big stage, or subbing Pyramid or OS imo.

Glass Animals below Meg also an indication they’re further down a stage.

Megan will be about 3rd down Pyramid/Other sub. She is taking lower spots so she can play as many as possible.

Reading just spent a lot getting Arctics and RATM back in and was probably the best they could do but she's still a very poor headling booking.

Snow Patrol wouldve easily headlined a day if tame or arctic werent there. They still sell out arenas so its not that inflated. Theyre headlining Latitude in July already, so its on par.

Ah maybe my perspective is skewed, snow patrol are viewed very differently in Ireland because every c**t has seen them 15 times.

they’re very much the usual suspects when it comes to Irish music festivals.

Is there any indication on the date? Don't think I can physically squeeze anything more into June and July!

I think Anfield may be 16th June and BST are 26th June and 3rd July. June and July are looking uncomfortably packed atm! These aren't confirmed though, just rumours floating about I think.

    • Elastica posted last night teasing a return, wonder where they would play if they reformed?
    • I agree but anyone under Rodrigo would be a sub in reality, that day would sell out in under an hour whoever is subbing, in which case Wolf Alice would make a lot of sense   The more unrealistic part of the scenario at this point is Rodrigo headlining
    • All you can say is...     If he couldn't convince nations that really would've benefitted from the short-term hit of an up-front £50mil payment by this time next year, what hope did he have?   Guess we'll now just have to monitor and see if this could derail Infantino's plans to be re-elected FIFA President next year.
    • Spider-Man: Brand New Day   Highlight was a bloke reacting to the post-credit scene by going "Holy f**k it's Tobey Maguire!" despite the scene having no reference to him at all. Which made my close-to-full screening of the film laugh a lot.   Film was pretty good. It was interesting as much as an exploration of the ramifications of the end of No Way Home and being about isolationism and male loneliness, which I thought it actually did quite well. Though I do ponder if I liked it as much as the other 3 Tom Holland Spider-Man movies. Sadie Sink was good tbf, while I also liked Jon Bernthal as Punisher, enough that I might go watch his Disney+ shows.   Seem to have had a Marvel kick recently having also watched Thunderbolts and Shang-Chi, both of which I thought were pretty good.
    • Wolf Alice won't get headliner for Reading either, they will sub if they play, that is where their level has stopped I feel. Both TFG and Skyvip for the big shows this year was just a stretch too far. Every headliner this year is bigger than them too I'd say.   Agree with Capaldi I don't think Yungblud will be at Reading. I would guess Bludfest 3 or Download.
