I thought Beach Boys were unlikely because it'd mean four nights on the bounce but they're doing 8 nights on the bounce elsewhere on their tour.

yep, and lots of travelling - it's why i'd only recently removed them from the rumours list.

I'm wondering if the Thursday Paris show might get cancelled or re-arranged to cut down on the travelling.

Unless ... "Beach Boys" is really Brian Wilson. It wouldn't be the first time.

Third or fourth down Pyramid Friday?

Sounds about right, for either. Looks like Friday is the only possible day.

Yeah I thought that but those 8 consecutive dates are no closer together than Glastonbury and Paris are.

Obviously not happen but I think Queen would have gone down a storm as a booking for next year. I reckon Transmit would have sold a lot better if it was next year after the film got people talking about them again.

May and Eavis Sr don't see eye-to-eye on the subject of badgers, so no chance. There is also the issue that it's not really Queen anymore, but we don't need to go there (again!)

Would be nice to see beach boys as beach boys including Brian Wilson! I know Mike has been saying he’d be up for it!

Who would be better to see, beach boys or Brian Wilson? Or is it personal preference?

Reckon they could be the rock act on the Friday?, the ZZ Top act If you like?, Stormzy, Liam, a female act then Beach Boys 4th down.

Saw Brian Wilson at the roundhouse a few years back, almost zombie performance in the first half, we considered heading home, absolutely brilliant after the interval, always wondered what they gave him at the interval.

LMFAO....because Gimme All Your Loving is a great credible rock song!

I mean, my point was that the acts who've played that slot are heavier rock acts who you'd catch playing Download and stuff. The other acts people have predicted to follow on from them next year (Iggy Pop, Whitesnake and others) also fit that heavier rock label. Beach Boys could play third down Pyramid on the Friday, sure, but it's hardly a continuation of the "Friday evening heavier rock band" thing we've had over the last few years.

Not sure how much of a thing that Friday rock slot is - 2 years of ‘classic’ rock followed by Royal Blood.

Yeah I'm not saying it's defo a thing and that Beach Boys can't play that position. I'm saying that if they do play it it's not them doing the "Friday night rock slot" it's just Beach Boys playing Glastonbury in a random slot.

Amen to that.... and at least he sits in the right camp... rather than with that bar steward Love..

I never really got on with Jeff Foskett's voice, was very surprised when I heard he'd switched sides. Apparently was sick of being Brian's babysitter, although he put it much more nicely than that. Nice chap, but voice nowhere near as good as Matt.
