yeah. Used to get a good chunk on Jazzworld. Less nowadays.

Maybe not at headline level, but it's still there I'd say: Oumou Sangare, Toots, Afriquoi, Pat Thomas, Ata Kak.

There's reverse creep at Womad too, no?  Didn't Leftfield headline this year?

The Gully is an example of Glastonburys shift. West Holts is a pale imitation of Jazzworld and The Gully feels like a token nod to Jazzworld but even then it's something of an afterthought, stuck out in Silver Hayes on a bit of a limb and half-heartedly done

Yes, I would spend a lot of time there were it not in Silver Hayes. I like the way they have built the equivalent stage at Shambala which predates The Gully.

I genuinely don't see this.  The mix of bands is still broadly similar:  bit of reggae, bit of hip hop, bit of world, bit of jazz, bit of funk.  The last year it was named Jazzworld it featured Jamie Cullum, the Black Eyed Peas and Rolf Harris.

Jazz world used to be my favourite stage (probably still is, but it really does shift its identity form year to year, though it seems to have stabilised a bit more the last few). I get why they had to change it- last few years before west holts, some of the turnout for its headliners were horrific

I loved Rolf that year, felt like the whole of Glasto packed into that field to see him. Too bad it’s forever tainted by the revelations that followed.

On the 6:00 news in the Netherlands was just confirmed that Fleetwood Mac will be the first headliner at the 50th anniversary of the worlds oldest festival, Pinkpop, to be held on June 8-10 2019.

They got them...

That's pretty huge for them if they them. I know they FF and Bruno Mars but I can see a weaker headliner in the mix if this is correct. It's quite right for then too if they have Dublin, Wembley and Pinkpop between 13th and 17th June, they would have to be doing Pinkpop with Wembley back to back I believe
