Yeah, I never went to the early ones. Think the first one I went to was 2011 so any problems had settled down by then.

Ah, it was nothing really. They had to swap around the use of a couple of tents on the second day, but a minor issue that was well publicised .

I might get a ticket and a cheap ryan air flight and just do that night, I don't think I'll be able to convince any of my friends to fly over for aphex twin.

Maybe he'll play somewhere here.

Got our tickets this morning. Was relatively easy by all accounts (my other half did the honours) so I stand corrected! Really looking forward to it

Around £60 all in, so hopefully there'll be a few other decent acts on or at least some new ones to check out.

Yeah, was too easy. I was all excited, refreshing the page in the minutes leading up to 9am... and then had no problems at all.

Was a bit of a let down. Glastonbury ticket days have ruined me.

Not sure Field Day has ever sold out prior to the day of the festival has it? Discovered one of my mates is getting married that weekend so going to be missing it

If you're holding out for a Field Day ticket they're doing tiered pricing, so that might be something to consider

Mate of mine who's pretty in the know generally says that apparently he wanted to play. They offered him the park but he wanted the other so it's not happening.

If this is true, this is the most disturbing thing I've seen in relation to Aphex Twin. And there's a lot of disturbing things out there.

I'm afraid I don't have much faith in the modern festival audience, I think it was the right call. Other would clear pretty quickly -  Aphex Twin is difficult stuff.  The Park is far more suited for such avant-garde music.  I could just about see it working at W Holts, but Park is better.  Other Stage?  No way.

he played a DJ set in the Temple in 2015 (as DJ AFX) which I was there for. He also  DJ'd in The Spike (unannounced) the same year (I heard)

I think that was 2014. I certainly saw him do a jungle set in The Spike in 2014, I didn't go in 2015.
