CaledonianGonzo
I'm not a fan and would be feeling pretty hard up choice wise if I went to see them.... but would it be all that bad? Upbeat. A few semi decent songs. Not just lads with guitars....

CaledonianGonzo
I'm basically steeling myself to the fact that Kraftwerk, Bjork, The Jacksons, The Shoppies, Erasure, ATCQ, The Avalanches, etc. may forsake West Holts and one night we'll be staring a choice of Foo Fighters / Alt J / Liam Gallagher / Jamiroquai square in the chops. Untz
Thank the lord god Eavis for the creation of the T&C fields and the SE Corner. But I've spent headline sets just sat in some random bar talking bollocks so not seeing a headliner doesn't bother me.
SwedgeAntilles
Can't say I'm a Jamiroquai fan either, good hats though.
CaledonianGonzo
I'd get headliner FOMO if I basically opted to just sit in the pub. Granted there's bound to be something on in Avalon or Gully or something, but Sunday Night 2014 is my proof that nights with next to nothing to enjoy can crop up occasionally. SwedgeAntilles
Based on the predictions thread it's already looking a bit worrying for Sunday for me. Would be a shame as after back to back Sunday night boogies to the Chems and LCD struggling for a Sunday headliner would be a pisser. But like CalGon says, I'd probably going along to something, saying goodbye to the festival by just having a beer or a wander just wouldn't feel right. Could see myself going along to either WH or The Park no matter who were on just cause they're my favourite areas.

I went to Kasabian as nothing at all took my attention and I'd know their stuff. It was alright... DJ Yoda in the Williams green afterwards was better though. CaledonianGonzo
The thing for me with the theatre / cabaret / comedy is that I tend to do all that in August at the Fringe when I basically live in a citywide version of Bella's Field for a month. Edinburgh gets relatively few gigs, so the G's one of the few times I get to fill my boots.
The_Amazing_Oblong
Dropped lucky 2014. My only shift during a headliner slot was the Sunday night.
the wonderwhy
Yeah I'm now fully behind QOTSA subbing Foos, however unlikely it is, until we get 100% firm evidence that says otherwise. SwedgeAntilles
Underworld last year proved to me that it's worth going along to see something even if you're not completely sold on it. Ended up being one of the highlights of the weekend. That alone would convince me to go and see something on a main stage Edited February 10, 2017 by SwedgeAntilles

Would love to see him somewhere late, dark and intense on the Farm... Ben Yep, first thing I saw too. Don't see it coming to Glastonbury really though.. Gonna be upset if the full Romare live show doesn't come to G (early WH, definitely) seeing how many places he's bringing it to. Plus he's a sweetie. CaledonianGonzo
Pretty much my view as well. We went to Disclosure, but it fell pretty flat.

eastynh
I do not condone violence, yet that video of the journalist head butting Jay Kay still makes me giggle.
