Hmm their Songkick has them down as being in the US on Saturday, but it isn't on their tour dates on their website. They're in Belfast on the Monday so I feel like that Songkick listing may be a mistake. They have a few US club shows around that time on Songkick that don't appear on their website, so I'm not sure what's going on there. Maybe DJ sets or something and only live sets are listed on their tour dates? Dunno.

Also I can see The Kooks opening Other. Thoughts? Not as old as most of the previous ones but the exact same thing as Kaiser Chiefs, aren't they? They've got enough known tunes to go down alright and if they were billed on the lineup I only think they'd get like 4th/5th down Other.

Regardless of his album only getting to 5 in the charts, The Weeknd is MASSIVE - quite a bit bigger than any Other headliner we've had previously imo - and would pull a ginormous crowd, especially opposite Radiohead who we've all established wouldn't have the biggest crowd to begin with. I can't see it happening really - Pyramid sub or nothing for me.

Weeknd definitely a massive deal stateside - but not as big a thing here, I'd say? I mean, he can sell out a full UK arena tour, just about - but so can Stereophonics, and we'd get laughed off these boards for suggestion them as a headliner.

That being said, comfortably a bigger commercial power than any of the subs/Others of '16, including Disclosure and Foals.

That looks pretty good, but in 2015 Foo Fighters were down to play for two and a half hours, like they did at Reading and Leeds in 2012, so I suspect they'll be given the same here.

I'm surprised the Kaisers are being tipped to play 2nd or 3rd on the Pyramid considering how much they've declined in popularity and no-one outside of Leeds really cares about them now because it's no longer 2006. These days I'd say they're John Peel headline sized.

Be great if those special guests were someone like QOTSA or Biffy Clyro. Would compliment the Foos so well. I think Gorillaz would only accept a headline slot.

Don't be fooled by the album sales - it actually 'sold' more than the previous one but it was released in December so it got stomped out by Christmas presents.

Anyway, this 'Pyramid sub - too big to headline Other' is a complete nonsense as they're all practically interchangeable. So much so that we have been interchanging them all year - and look who's subbed recently! If he says he wants to play in the dark, is headlining every festival he's doing, is probably touring with a stage setup for a dark slot and isn't too big to be Pyramid headliner or nothing then it makes complete sense for him to headline Other, I reckon.

2015? That was a last minute thing after the Foos pulled out and Florence was bumped up to headline. I don't think there was a special guests slot when the line-up came out that year though.

To be fair my main group of friends back home who I go to Glasto with know I'm on here and I feed them all the rumours from here (they also keep tabs on the rumours page due to knowing the website through me). My friends from uni/work don't really go to festivals and I think they'd see it as quite sad that I spend my free time on here discussing festivals all year, especially the fact I have almost 20,000 posts on here.

Anyway it's not really that much of a deal, I wouldn't be that bothered if they did find out like.

That reminds me of when my girlfriend asked me how much my ticket for Wild Beasts was as she wanted to come too (we'd only been going out for a few weeks so I didn't ask when they went on sale), so i searched my emails for their name assuming the booking confirmation would come up but all that showed was an email saying "Festival Forums - dentalplan quoted one of your posts". 110% sure that they're not touring - but in racking my mind for an act to play the "Classic Rock" slot that has materialised third on the Pyramid on a Friday afternoon, it's occurred to me that Judas Priest are probably as good a shout as anyone. Probably as many recgonisable songs as Motorhead had and a bit of commercial crossover appeal too.

Been through and replaced all the acts I was predicting who aren't actually touring or in the area around Glasto. Wasn't sure which of Moderat/Soulwax to put on Friday Park and which to leave for Silver Hayes but plumped for Moderat in the end (I wanted an electronic option on one of the main stages that night). Also couldn't be arsed to try and reshuffle to fit BadBadNotGood and Ibibio Sound Machine onto another stage to avoid them both returning to play WH again.

Yeh definitely, Soulwax would need to be on one of the main stages 

Well Four Tet doesn't really do the whole live thing very often, I think he's far more likely just to dj a couple of times 

Daphni is a lot more electronic/dj than Caribou, can only see him in a late night venue
