Well we knew quite a few of those already. Surprised Will Young isn't on a bigger stage/

Good spot for Beans on Toast.

Blackberry Smoke are the Skynyrd types @The Nal shared a while back aren't they?

Good to see the Destroyers back.

They are indeed.

Although Skynyrd types is probably an over compliment.

Strong lineup that.  Beans on Toast, KT Tunstall, Turin Brakes.  Awesome. Think I may end up with a clash meltdown this year.

I rarely see even a single act on the Avalon bill that interests me. I love Beans and might see This is the Kit but as usual not a lot. I read so many people on here say it's their favourite area but I've barely seen anyone there in all my years of going. What am I missing?

The bars are generally very good around there and personally it's one of the better places to see good new stuff that you wouldn't otherwise get to or make the effort to check out

Molotov Jukebox last year were amazing. And Beth Orton and the Bad Shepherds (not together, that would be weird) a year or so before, the atmosphere in the Avalon when it gets going can veer between tears and extreme joy. A crowd that know what they like and aren't ashamed to show it.

I also like a bit of Will Young. <unashamed>

Turin Brakes, Corin Bailey Rae and KT Tunstall? Or maybe The Feeling?

Would be my guess.

I love Avalon.  Just has a nice chilled out vibe to the place and the bars/café are great.  Not a huge fan of the massive stages to be fair and like the size of Avalon Stage as a venue.

    • Never too early to start discussing next year’s headliners right?   I’m not attending this year so thought I’d get the ball rolling as I saw Weezer have a new album out in August I’d expect them to do this or Slam Dunk next year. I mean they’re probably too big for this however I think they’re niche enough that they would maybe do it, it just depends on if the fee is a bit out of range for trees.    It’ll be the 20th anniversary next year so I’d expect some throwbacks and hopefully some big headliners/acts. James has already said he’s made a mad booking that you wouldn’t guess & I think he mentioned that he’s spent something like 80% of this years budget of next years top line already on last weeks 2 promoters 1 pod (Don’t quote me on that).    I reckon they’ll try for and get at least two (not all) of the following - Enter Shikari, AFI, Weezer, Sex Pistols Feat Frank Carter, Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls
    • for some reason last night watched series one of Prey on Netflix.   if Legends was written by Timmy Mallet (see above) then Prey seems to have been made by Mr Blobby.   why are all these British crime dramas so sh*t?
    • It'll be all over various Seatfillers based upon previous years at Sandringham
    • The Jayhawks 2026 UK Tour    Sept 15 – Brighton – Corn Exchange  Sept 16 – London – Electric Ballroom Sept 17 – Manchester – Academy 2 Sept 18 – Glasgow – The Garage    For you ‘americana’ lovers. They have a great song book.
    • Weezer just announced a new album & US tour so could add them to the headliner pool. Imagine they’ll do this or trees
