To be fair 24mm over a weekend isnt too removed from 2014 and while it wasnt an absolute bath, the conditions were not ideal like last year.

The weather in Glasgow recently has been mental, I've pretty much been wearing shorts for a fortnight. I wouldn't mind a wee thunderstorm at the moment.

Was speaking to security at red gate yesterday, they are currently having to spray (very smelly) water to keep the dust down.

I was in the costa del sol last october and inaccuweather forecasted biblical thunderstorms nearly every day. It was hot and dry all week and that was supposedly up to date.

The weather gods have dictated a torrential Glastonbury is essential to bring balance back to the Festival so only the most passionate and diehard fans will apply for and get tickets in 2017 cf 2007/8

Yeah. Whilst mud ain't great. Dust could prove potentially dangerous for working staff standing around on the tracks. Don't want any athsmatic security struggling at all.

Whilst I'm not camping at the festival this year, a decent spot of weather would be brilliant. A small bit of rain on the Sunday before the festival and a little on the Thursday during would be ace. Sunny 21-24 degrees the rest of the time.

We don't this year, as weather patterns are a little unusual.  

I'm still confident that we're only going to get about 3 or 4 days rain out of the next 15, with generally overcast mornings, baking hot afternoons and mild evenings being the pattern for the majority of the month.  In other words, the perfect festival weather.
