Far to soon some might say (okay maybe most) but the festival is just about coming in to show on the weather charts. Needless to say this far away you can take anything be that good or bad with a fistful of salt but feast your eyes on this...

Yeah pretty much I think. I have a very limited knowledge of these things of which the little I do have has been gained through looking at them in the warm up to the festival!

As a general rule (I think) Red is good and blue / green is the worst.

Someone like @devonhammer could explain it much better than I ever could.

Red is good. If you think of the lines as contours on a map, then you want to be at the top of the hill, not the bottom of the valley.

J10 is far more knowledgeable than me and is posting on NetWeather: https://www.netweather.tv/forum/blogs/entry/4938-glastonbury-2016-festival-blog-3-issued-5th-june-16/

Summary

If the Glastonbury festival was due to start a week earlier, I might be a little concerned for the festival weather, however the weather is set to improve towards the end of June, but will this come before or even during the festival period.

My guess at this stage would be for a getting better sort of festival, with a better weekend than the runup. But if last year is anything to go by, things will frequently change before then.

Yeh, basically what's plotted is sea level pressure indicated by the lines and then 500mb height in the colours. Essentially the reds indicate higher pressure and the cooler colours lower pressure generally. It's not a bad chart, would probably produce temps in the low 20s at this time of year in the SW.

Like you say though...miles to go yet!

Blame @Keithy. It was his suggestion, though admittedly I'm the only one running with it

Can we get that prick off the forum please?

Please.  I had a heavy night on the drugs, creepy clowns I can cope with but Gove?  Have some feckin' decency.

    • Hush cancelled with a similar event now taking place at EartH and Cate Le Bon doing her own show, maybe others have rearranged gigs?
    • Yeah I find it strange, if they were just a silly act then they wouldn't be headlining the 3rd stage. The likes of vengaboys yes but they aren't doing their own sizeable arena dates.  That looks very weak for what they could actually get, but GC aren't playing 3rd main stage with The 02 and the Coop arena and in a same slot that KSE are. MIW aren't carrying those two dates either, neither are Turnstile and Parkway Drive tickets didn't play out. You gotta do better than Ghost, Blink and Deftones though.    I think you are a bit even if that is not the intention. I'm genuinely shocked they booked them for the avalanche and I think it'll be rammed out of the tent. While ADTR will obviously get a lot too, many Download attendees will had the chance to see them at Slam Dunk. I think 90s fest getting Scooter was class and while there would have been some Download crossover, the Slam Dunk crossover given acts you get on the avalanche will be a different level.
