Why? Can he change the weather?

Who knows, in a system as complex and chaotic as the weather   it's  entirely, theoretically, possible that the observation, prediction and the communication of such, may effect its eventual outcome.

I'd probably go with no though.

Don't worry about Jack One, it's that pesky butterfly in South America we have to worry about. Always sticking his oar in, him.

The weather sites just like to have a laugh at the expense of people going to Glastonbury, went to a wedding in Devon last Friday, weather check 48 hours prior to the wedding showed downpours all weekend...... Got burnt at the outdoor wedding on the Friday and again at the outdoor bbq the following day....bring back Wincy Willis a lady you could trust.

Is it too early to mention my late auntie fanny's seaweed which has always beaten Jackone into a quivering anti-cyclone?

It's very moist at the moment.

In quantum mechanics observation modifies experiment, why not the same with weather observation and measurement? Jackone is to Glastonbury meteorology what Max Plank is to quantum physics.

The best we can hope for any long range forecast to be saying at the moment is for it to be torrential rain every single day of the festival. It will inevitably then change as it's impossible to predict this far out and any change from that will be a bonus, it actually makes me happy when I see rain forecasted this far beforehand, and disappointed if it's showing as being really nice.

The Met Office have updated their long term view, which can be summarised as.... Not. A. Clue.

UK Outlook for Thursday 16 Jun 2016 to Thursday 30 Jun 2016:

It should start mainly dry in the north and northeast, but for most the middle of June is likely to be unsettled with showers or longer spells of rain. These are likely to be heavy and thundery at times, with the west and southwest probably experiencing the most unsettled conditions at first, but there should also be some drier and brighter intervals in between. Later in the month the latest indications are that it will be changeable, with all areas likely to see rain at times, but with northern areas most likely to have the most rain and the south the best of any drier, brighter weather. Temperatures generally near or just above average in the north and warm in the south, where it may turn very warm at times.

Someone seriously gets paid to write that shit?

It should start mainly dry in the north and northeast, but for most the middle of June is likely to be unsettled with showers or longer spells of rain.

It might rain, it might not.

These are likely to be heavy and thundery at times, with the west and southwest probably experiencing the most unsettled conditions at first, but there should also be some drier and brighter intervals in between.

= It might rain, it might not.

Later in the month the latest indications are that it will be changeable, with all areas likely to see rain at times, but with northern areas most likely to have the most rain and the south the best of any drier, brighter weather.

= It might rain it might not

Temperatures generally near or just above average in the north and warm in the south, where it may turn very warm at times.

= We haven't got a fucking clue chaps and chapesses.

What and absolute abomination of a paragraph

I love him.

Unsettled the week before = ground not too hard to pitch tents and beautifully lush and green

Drier week/weekend of = perfect festival.

I love him

@bennyhana22 Where the hell have you been? I've been dying to find out what you make of the full line-up!

Hi Janie - been a bit overwhelmed! Trying not to be impatient and just 'relax' into my meticulous line-up scrutiny in preparing the BenFinder®!

Will post tomorrow in one of the 'who are you going to see' type threads!

Suffice it to say, my cup runneth over...

@bennyhana22 Look forward to you carefully compiled plan, even though I know our musical tastes are wildly different. We'll be interested to see if you mention a single act who we also want to see. It's fun though, innit!
