Thing is though, you could cut the demand for tickets in half, and they'd still be gone in under an hour. Time to sell out is a measure of how good at their job See Tickets are these days.

This is true, isn't the marathon it used to be.

Stupid SeeTickets, with their growing efficiency. Bastards.

Problem is this thread as far as posters go just seems to attract the most pessimistic possible, im not seeing torrential rain, at most im seeing a few light showers during the festival....as far as mud goes thats expected, and the warm spell also said to hit will dry a lot of that out.....so whats the issue other then pandering to a load of attention seeking doomsayers who even if the weather was claiming no rain at all would still have everybody focusing on the fact its raining now because that automatically means doom because apparently worthy farm has had no drainage works and experience of how to deal with wet ground conditions at all over the last 20 years......cheer the feck up wont some of you?

Just got back to Bristol, was on site for about 6 hrs today. Only saw the East side of the site around Theatre & Circus but it wasn't too bad, despite drizzle all afternoon..

Water from the storm and flash floods of Friday night looked like it had drained away. Because there's not many people on site yet and all site traffic's sticking (?) to the roads/tracks it's a bit churned up round the edges, but everything else looked green and lovely. It's all geared up and ready to go, all it needs is you.

I'm gutted that I'm not back on site till Weds. NFR/NFC. start hoarding sunscreen!:D

I told them about how sunny it's going to be, Waterfalls, but they never listen

it might not be `sunny` as such but people are talking about this year as if its going to be like famously shit years weather wise when at most all we`re expecting are some showers......I really have no idea where it comes from such pessmism

We are not going to have a full appreciation of the site conditions until this rain has gone (dinner time tomorrow) - all forecasts then seem to agree that tues-thurs most likely mainly dry (odd shower), it's what happens on the fri-sun that's unclear and is causing swings and variations in opinion - that's fair enough tho as its a 5-7 days away - we'll know more come midweek no doubt. Fingers crossed.

variations are fine and expected but talking as if its going to be so bad as to put people off buying tickets next year, and trying to compare it to years like 2005 and 2007 etc.......where does that come from seriously? drama queens lol

It'll be the flooding that did that. I hear you I do, but it's not difficult to understand why people are a bit jittery.

I think it's going to be fine, but  I get the concerns.

aye i get all panicky that it's gonna be a shitstorm and every once in a while need somebody on here to spout some mumbo jumbo statistic that i don't quite understand but that's slightly more positive

CallyG's positive attitude is awesome. My Hibernian roots direct me to be properly cacking it and leave room to be amazed later, rather than cold-blooded now and told you so later.

My Hibernian roots direct me to how Stokesy is reportedly on fire and supposedly your defence is terrified.

Fuck this thread.  It's harshing my buzz. The minute a good forecast comes in someone shoots it down with an opposite.  I'm leaving Tuesday afternoon and fuck the weather.  I'm a survivor of 97 98 05 and 07 and nothing will piss on my parade ! Let's fucking have it !

Exactly this. Who bloody cares what the weather is like... A rainy day at Glastonbury is still much better than pretty much any other day!

Its not without reason, check the current yr.no forecast - if that comes to pass it will be a true mudbath.

Love the optimism! I really hope you're right.

I'm sure I am. It's now stopped raining and we have a brisk breeze to help dry the site out.

The kind of mudbath with 7mm of rain over the entire weekend? I expected better from eFestivals.

    • It’s probably fairly easy to stay in a hotel but I much prefer the camping set up. It was pretty quiet where we camped but a longer walk to the arena but the weather was nice so not a problem. There’s also a lake you can camp by. Once we got off the tube/train we walked down the main road and turned right (festival site is left) and camped down there.    Do you think? They do have water points inside the arena & where I camped there were toilets, showers & water points super close. I think if you time it right the RiP stage is so easy to get close to the front. Second stage is decent & a like the indoor arena for bands on the 3rd stage. I think all the stages sound better than Downloads too, always had issues with the 2nd stage at Download being too quiet. Even main at some points.
    • Interesting that they’ve mentioned Blink-182 in mail. Btw dates for 2027 are 10-12 June. Same dates as Mystic & Sweden Rock and most likely Download, RFP & Greenfield.
