  1. Not happy that See Tickets still say you can't add a weekly monorail pass to your fest ticket. Have to buy them from the cabin at the bottom of the escalators by Gate A. Apparently they're accepting Oyster cards this year!
  2. Always loved her collaboration with Afro Celt Sound System, Release, sorry I can't post the link but easy to find. Her lyrics seem, I don't know painfully poignant or maybe appropriate and joyous right now? RIP Sinead.
  3. There's free hourly shuttle buses running from Castle Cary to the site for crew from 9.00 - 23.30
  4. With our crew (Theatre & Circus) you need your car pass and show your ticket to get onsite, once you've unloaded you go to somewhere within your area to swap ticket for wristband & laminate pass. You'll get half your ticket back in case you want to go offsite, if you go offsite you have to get a pass out to get back in again which you show with your half ticket and wristband.
  5. Our crew went down today and what irnktn said is all spot on. Think you'll follow blue route, once you get through the first outer gate head for Orchard Gate. With a short stay pass you can unload where you're camping but then have to drive off to a staff car park, you'll get hassled to move it if you try to stay. Have a great fest!
  6. First one in '81, TBH I really can't remember much about it. £8 to get in, 3 of had raided the penny jars and got there from Bristol, counted out about £15 worth of change at the gate when they smiled and waved us in. Honestly have bugger all memories of the music, can't believe New Order played! I do remember Roy Harper and Ginger Baker having a punch up stage shortly before I fell in a drainage ditch! Guess I got bitten by the bug as I did 20 more in total, last one in 2016.
  7. Yes, you can just walk through with a toddler. Well done to all those who got lucky tonight and positive vibes for all those trying on Sunday.
  8. Apologies if this is a daft question, but how much are the tickets?. I can only spot £50 deposit mentioned on the Ticket Info page.
  9. I'd echo what's been said above, I think the shuttle bus would be the easiest/quickest option. I drove from Bristol to Glasto mid-morning this week, took an hour. The traffic around Temple Meads can be a nightmare, plus you'd be hitting the start of the rush hour and any festy traffic especially as you get nearer the site. A couple of years back I had to go off site then come back on the Thurs late afternoon. Took the train to Castle Cary, no queues for the shuttle bus, pulled into the site bus station about 30 mins later. Very quick and easy. Skipped back through the gate and was suitably splattered within the hour!
  10. Our crew of stewards start to arrive from Sunday (prob. Sat this year) in the T&C crew area where I think you'll be. Worth bearing in mind if you go offsite or arrive late Sun, the site is locked down from (I think) 10pm - 6am so no vehicles can get in/out.
