Still think they'll do the same slot as The Cribs last year. In after the opener just in time for folk's alcohol and substances to be kicking in.

yeah likewise, or if not in that exact spot at least somewhere on Other

You're all weird. That new song is better than the dreary rubbish they churned out in their heydey. Seriously, it's my new favourite Travis song. Not that I was a big fan back in the day mind.

Sounds like something Paul Simon could have written in the 80s, not a bad thing.

Now listen again with your hats off.

Have you all confused a bright video with a song that is noticeably inferior to their earlier work?  The song's not particularly remarkable in any way to me.  Try listening to the song without watching the video and you'll all realise it's fine.

I always find that if lots of people disagree with me, it's because I'm totally right and they're all mad.  Not that I'm missing anything ;)

Took your advice and listened on Spotify - don't see what the problem is, it's nothing special but certainly not worth the abuse it's got on here!

Exactly  It's a Travis song!  At least when another bland band decided to do something more interesting, I could see why there were objections:

It's a decent pop song with a very self aware cheesey video. It's supposed to be fun! Cheer up, I thought I was a miserable bugger. Being they were big REM fans I would compeltely guess the video is an attempt to hark back to the videos of Stand (take a look) and Shiny Happy People.... I wouldn't take it too seriously!

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
