when i was younger i had a weird thing with rearranging tracklists in to alphabetical order and length of songs etc, so for me getting to do the opposite of that with a band like Radiohead is some kind of magical dream i've been building up to all my life. would love to hear their explanation for it, or whether they realised that most of the songs ended up in alphabetical order when doing the tracklist so just decided to switch some over and go with it

Decks Dark? Got some similar melodic patterns.

Stunning song though! Arguably the best on an album that Radiohead have nailed.

i am of course joking. incredible. really really loved it. more than i thought i would after the initial listen. even on first listen The Numbers feels like it's gonna go down as one of their greatest songs. just IMAGINE that live. i was incredibly nervous about hearing a studio version of True Love Waits, and i can see why some would be disappointed, but i loved it. honestly, after TKOL i was starting to think they may not make an album like this again. obviously early days, but... go on, add it to the 'classic' pile

Two things - 1) the strings are bloody beautiful, 2) I prefer the album version of True Love Waits much more than the live version

I stand by it. After 2 full playthroughs my opinion remains unchanged. The Numbers is one of the greatest songs this band have produced. Its truly an opus.

On my forth listen and it just gets better and better. A truly stunning piece of work. The numbers is spectacular and might just be one of the best things they've ever done

I think I'm joking... In all seriousness I might do it after LP10 has been announced and I've nothing better to do, but I would expect to find that there is very little clipping going on.

For me, it's Daydreaming and Identikit as the clear winners.  I'm currently on #teamtruelovewaitsisbetterlive, but I will be giving it very many listens to see if I change my mind. As for the rest, there is just so much to get my ears round.  I've gone for spending time with my wife instead of headphones on in a darkened room tonight, so will need a few weeks to really start to live with it.  Gawd knows my In Rainbows ranking changed radically at first.

This album is almost too overwhelming on first listen. 

Present Tense was absolutely beautiful.

After TKOL it's ridiculously accessible. It'll take some time to properly digest it but already it feels strong.

It's definitely not shit, it's definitely good, the only question now is how good it is.

Its not as good as in rainbows but personally I still prefer both of them to hail to the thief

One thing that's got me wondering, might it actually be Phil playing guitar on Desert Island Disk? Or at least composed by him? It reminds me of his solo albums.
