if you stick with what i've said there's no rollercoaster.

I remain confident that what i've been told is more likely right then wrong.

From my POV the rollercoaster is in terms of what capacity they actually play. I'll be happy with any Radiohead set, but the thought of them playing a big set on the Pyramid stage is much more exciting than a secret slot.

There most certainly is a rollercoaster if you care where they play!

Headlining is the dream, with Pyramid sub or Other headliner the next best thing.  I'm not quite as excited by the prospect of someone telling me they saw Radiohead last night somewhere random while I was oblivious in the tent next door.

Them apparently being on the poster means an announced slot, which means I probably will actually get to see them!

Yeah definitely. Even though it won't be a headliner set, a Pyramid (or Other) slot, hopefully full(ish) production, an hour fifteen, not too new album heavy, maybe even a 'greatest hits'-ish kind of set (as much as Radiohead would be willing to do) - that'll do just nicely, and be far better than being crammed in some tiny area watching them do the new album in full + Feral

Hi, this is my very first post in here and I've registered to say one thing: the the hell are people hoping RH are on the bill? They're not a headliner, but they should be. Do you really think/hope they're on a smaller stage or SUBBING the 3 headliners? They're one of the biggest names in music. They still are. Plus: how would it work for the light show? It is known that no one ever plays after RH (like a dance closer for instance) because their big light show takes too much time to remove.

Imagine Muse being placed in a higher tier than RH? That's unimaginable. The hype surrounding RH (with the new album dropping soon) is huge right now.

Radiohead may have agreed to it , the band love glastonbury. I've seen subs have sets and lights for them .

Can't imagine Adele needing a huge backdrop and lights

Do you think maybe Radiohead to headline the Other opposite Adele? In a similar way (apparently) Metallica were pencilled in for the Other in case Prince dropped out in 2014 (which apparently did happen)? Radiohead to disperse the predicted mass crowds of Adele, and if Adele did pull out in the run up then Radiohead could easily be bumped up to headliner?

That's why I think they'll never it for less than a pyramid headliner. They have quite a big connection with the fest, with their 2 headline performances being classics. I can imagine them wanting to repeat that.

How is that a dream? RH being the very top of the bill is the rudest, bizarrest thing imaginable. Especially if fucking Muse and Coldplay are on that same lineup...

This is my second ever post and I prefer to keep the dream alive thank you very much!

I can see you're quite irate.

But I think people here have learned to put as much trust in Neil's / @eFestivals info. as he does and are posting their opinions largely based on that.

the bit I've bolded ... didn't.

They wanted Prince. They were never close to getting him, that year.

edit: had they got Prince, then yes, Metallica would have played the Other Stage.

And yet last time they played they were happy to do so on a small-ish stage in the middle of the day.

So it's clear that they're happy to do less than headline. Whether or not that's happening at Glastonbury this year we've yet to find out.

@eFestivals I may have missed a few things in this thread. Is it more likely Radiohead will be announced in the poster than not or vice versa?

I've no real idea.

Someone told me something the other day which suggested that they might be, and I'm not really able to gauge how likely that is to be true or not .... if I'm honest the whole thing sounded like bull when I first read it (too much detail in one direction that it seemed unlikely they'd have), tho I realised (woke up to) something yesterday which puts it in a different perspective and has me thinking it might be on the money.

But even if it's all 100% kosher information, it doesn't say with certainty that Radiohead will be on the poster or even that they'll be playing, tho it is suggestive that they might for both things.

(PS: just to be clear, at no point am i thinking the guy who's told me is bullshitting, I'm thinking he's passing on what he's heard. It's whether what he'd heard is accurate or not I can't judge very easily)
