My little brother is there this year, trying to keep him informed on QOTSA - I'm guessing it's probably best to tell him NME around 9:00PM tonight? Anything going on BBC Introducing between 2PM - 3:30PM? Seems a rather large gap?

QOTSA will probably be on roughly 9.15-10.00, so best to get there around 9.

Theres a gap on the Introducing stage all 3 days. They're usually a second set by a band playing elsewhere at the festival already

So QOTSA are playing Leeds at 12:30PM and Reading later?

They have to be first on Festival Republic tomorrow then? There are no other gaps

Says 'On stage access: Festival Republic' on the badge there so I'd say you're right.

They've done well with the secret acts this year! Very jealous of people getting to see QOTSA. Tha tent will be bouncing.

Got confused seeing QOTSA played Leeds before as I thought it was meant to be Reading today, pretty cool they're doing both in the same day. Nice little setlist, liiittle bit gutted I've not gone to Leeds as until last week I was pretty sure I would end up caving in. Ah well.

Shame for the Leeds lot that Wolf Alice aren't on double duty as well. They'll be great. Not that it was ever less than 99% certain to happen anyway but good to know they'll have a big slot next year.

Let's hope that the "open air shows" quote has been taken too literally by us and QOTSA are back too in 2018 as that would be a really solid start to the lineup, and it'd probably rule out Foo Fighters being there too, so win win.

Just now, DR OK said:

The youth get a lot of shit but some of the crowds today have looked brilliant. I think British music is back

Was gonna post this. The crowd at the Main Stage seems a lot livelier than it has been in recent years.

    • Tbf that happened to me in 2022 so not a one off. 40 euros to drive down 3 streets. I'd have done a runner but the reason for getting the taxi in the first place is cos I couldn't walk no more.
    • I was fully prepared (waterproof jacket, extra pair of socks, foldable umbrella), but after four hours in the rain (from Geese through Oklou to Florence Road), it was just too much. Already at the hotel, let's hope tomorrow's better.
    • It’s rare that I watch question time, but I almost felt sorry for Kenyon, he seemed like a guy just brought off the street which effectively is what he was, made worse by the fact Burnham and the Tory guy were very strong debaters. I think Burnham was very aware not to go too hard on Kenyon and risk him getting sympathy, in fact he pretty much ignored him.
    • Shambles. Transport and comms garbage. Been looking forward to this since last June and have never been to a more disorganised festival in 30+ years.  Why we were told the whole festival was cancelled for the night if they had put back shows for a few hours?  Pissed off to say the very least and put a huge downer on the rest of the weekend.
    • Rotten communication. Actually god awful. Posting sporadically on IG, closing Mordor only to reopen and cause some serious carnage. Left the festival as it got too much for my 16year old daughter. She was devastated about Alex G and Mac…but TV girl could have saved it. Took us until 1220 and already home to find out they might/are playing. Pish.    and on another note, this festival has lost its bastard soul. Gone are the wee tents with local sellers selling vinyl, t shirts etc, now you can buy a 50 f**king eur official T-shirt. The ar*e is truely out of this event now. I went to Porto for the first time last year and it was fab. I love Barcelona and the line up is always stacked, but this festival is a corporate loss take. Hopefully a better day tomorrow.
