definitely don't see anything like that happening at Glastonbury - he'll be after the big bucks, so if he does any UK festivals (doubtful - more likely to be arena shows) then it'll be somewhere else

Totally agree, shame really but will still aim to reach the tour, hoping for some decent hip hop this year, Nas a couple of years back was a highlight

Do The Roots tour, or just stay in the Late Show studio now days?  They are a great live show and would be magnificent on West Holts

Unfortunately they've been inactive for what already seems like forever. Maybe they'll shock us with something soon but I doubt it'll be next year.

It's a shame Karen O didn't get booked when she was touring her solo stuff. I remember the album getting panned by most people but I thought it was okay. Didn't manage to get to any of her shows though :(

Occasionally, they did a a few shows around June last year actually. Think it depends on the TV schedule doesn't it?

Exactly this. It's a fucking amazing song, and I asked on here for some other recommendations, but nothing else they've done comes close to that 4 minutes of perfection.

Sacrilege is really good but they have a solid set of tunes IMO (Way Out, Dull Life, Dudley and Maps to name but a few).

Aye, really hoping for her to be there. Saw her in Islington last week and it was brill, surprisingly much better than when I've seen her previously. 'Betsy On The Roof' was UNBELIEVABLE live... for once I'm hoping someone recorded the set.

Can see JennyLee Lindberg being at Glasto. Warpaint seem to like it.

Going to see her next month just before her album comes out. The gig is at Cosica Studios in London.

Anyone been there or know what its like?

Will report back on the gig if anyone is vaguely interested.

I go there clubbing all the time, which has included live sets. It's small, grotty and the stage is quite high. It's a great place for clubbing and the live sets are fine, not sure how it would be for a proper gig though. Drinks are expensive: ~£4.50 for a 330ml can of lager on club nights.

I quite like a small grotty venue with a high stage. I used to live in Southampton and love The Joiners. Not too fussed about drink prices. If I don't drive (to the end of the Tube line) I'll get wobbly beforehand and just have a couple in there.

440ml red stripe is usually £4.50, or maybe £5

True, but they don't always have it and I've only seen it sold on an outside bar which I assumed wouldn't be running. I haven't been in the past few weeks though.
