I really really want The World Is a Beautiful Place And I Am No Longer Afraid To Die to be there. I know it's a ludicrously long shot, but I just cannot stop listening to Harmlessness, what an amazing album.

yeah never gonna happen. Glastonbury never books that type of act unfortunately, wish is a shame because i agree that the album is brilliant

It could happen, FloorFiller! It could! It most likely wont... but it could! They've cruelly sidestepped the north west in their tour, doing Glasgow, Birmingham and Bristol only :(

There are loads of bands on my wishlist for 2016, many of which may come to fruition as they are releasing and/or touring.

But today, my attention is focused on a dear wish for Animal Collective, who are rotating heavily in my listening at work today. Never seen them, rather fond of Panda Bear, would LOVE them to be at GF2016.

Where would they play, do you think?

If they play this year I reckon it would be subbing West Holts given they've already headlined the Park but doubt they'll be play this year. Would be decent if they did though.

Edit: Just realised FloorFiller's posted near enough the same thing while I was typing

Live dates up to mid-May and a new record to promote...

Why would you think they are unlikely to play, kc? Is it just unlikely to be Glastonbury, but they might be at other UK festivals?

If someone else gets them as a UK exclusive, I'll be cross. TBH, whilst I understand the perceived commercial motivations, the whole ever-growing 'festival exclusive' thang is starting to get me down, as it's fundamentally in conflict with my personal festival philosophy of free love and good will to your fellow man/woman/undecided.

i can definitely see Latitude getting them (and possibly on an exclusive which they love to do so much) - very surprised to see they haven't played there yet actually. nothing ruling them out of Glasto, but i just get the feeling they won't be there

It's April they're in Europe isn't it? I just don't think they'll come over to Europe in April then back again in June.

Fair do's. I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed. Never seen AC. Saw Panda Bear at Green Man in 2014 and he was brilliant. Got the triple vinyl '...meets the Grim Reaper' for Christmas from my youngest (14 years). I have trained him well...

AnCo on the Park/WH would be awesome. I've heard lots of different opinions about their live sets but they were oustanding when I saw them. Hopefully they're booked :D

I saw them in the art school in Glasgow quite a few years back now, and it was absolutely spectacular. It was only a few days after they released MPP, one of my favourite shows ever I reckon.

Crivvens. I was at that as well, and came away with something like the opposite view. I've seen them a few times and - for me - they just can't seem to translate their records into a satisfactory live show.

It was my first and only time seeing them, I was 18 at the time and full of beans about it, they were probably my favourite band at the time, it's certainly a show that'll stay with me forever

Fair enough. All valid reasons to exit the venue on cloud 9.

Probably the context of me having to schlep back through east and go to work the next morning took some of the spring out of my step. I just remember it lacking in oomph - particularly what I expected to be the big tunes - things like Brothersport and My Girls.

A quick google digs up this review:
