I found out the news from the Facebook page, forgot rule #1 of the internet; never read the comments!

"Only band worth watching at the whole thing :(" When the Foo Fighters are invited back this imbecile is going to be trying to get tickets again next for year, when another round of devoted efesters will inevitably experience the gut-wrenching disappointment. Drop in the ocean, I know, most Glastonbury goers are wonderful people, but it just aggravates me.

It won't be Florence. They are going to need someone pretty special

There's a lot of disappointed people out there. I work with a girl that's going for the first time and she's heartbroken about Dave Grohl. She has no idea just how good it is . At least we won't have long to wait for an announcement. My thoughts are well known. If you agree with me sign my petition. Let's bring 1989 to Worthy Farm.

Like them or not you've really got to feel for the Foos, particularly Dave. Imagine you're about to play Wembley Stadium then headline Glastonbury and you break your leg. Must be devastating feeling you've let so many people down. Hope they come back next year (subbing for Biffy & Foals.)

Also sucks for Royal Blood who were going to support them at Wembley, must've been so excited for that one.

Will they reprint the programme and everything and Guardian Guides? I can't remember what happened when U2 pulled out.

No they won't. Stevie Winwood was headlining Sunday in 1997 but cancelled, but even the poster wasn't changed to reflect that Ash actually headlined. Ash also subbed the Other on the Friday.

Which is a bit of a kick in the nuts for anyone who imagines it has to be a big band that replaces the Foos.

    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
    • Blink-182 / Avril Lavigne / Good Charlotte / Neck Deep    Lamb of God / Malevolence      System Of A Down / Five Finger Death Punch / Skindred / Godsmack   Motionless In White / Poppy      Deftones / Gojira / Knocked Loose / President    Sabaton / Amon Amarth
    • This Isaac wood news has dropped right out of left field. Great to hear he feels up to doing live stuff again    what will he play? Solo stuff , old BCNR stuff?    It’s only in November , it’s a bold booking to for someone who has previously had some struggles to come back and play a load of new stuff to crowds that big
    • Wow, Blink-182 back so soon. They’re the band they’ve never booked then. Great booking if they’ve got them.    Deftones, Papa Roach, Knocked Loose   Lamb of God   Blink-182, Avril Lavigne, Good Charlotte   Megadeth   Slipknot, Gojira, Motionless In White   All Time Low
