Why are people saying he won't be able to do it sat down? I don't think it's likely they'll cancel. This is Dave Grohl, after all, they finished the very gig this happened at tonight.

as Has been said already. Adrenalin would've been a massive thing tonight and it's very different to pull shows with notice compared to abandoning a show with a full stadium there

It depends on whether Grohl feels they can 'do a U2' and return next year - if still on tour.

Whilst he seems like a chap who is very resolute, he also seems like somebody who will have extremely high standards.

If he feels the live show just can't be delivered, then I wouldn't be surprised to see them drop out and return in 2016.

Fibula break below knee....hard walking cast and no weight without crutches for 3-6 weeks...it takes around 3 weeks for the bones to begin to knit.

He's either doing it sitting down or not at all IMO....

I can't believe how many orthopaedic surgeons have posted in this thread.

Bloody hell, guys, get a grip!

Transverse fibula fracture. Relatively little load bearing through it (tibia does most). Yes it'll hurt like buggery for a few days, but in a well applied, light cast he'll be 'comfortable' and reasonably mobile in a week. Issue will be if they want to realign and nail it. There is some displacement but the periosteum (outer bone membrane) is still intact, so they might leave it. Tibia would have meant an op for certain. Bottom line is, he'd probably be 'fine' to do the gig sitting/leaning in two weeks. The logistics are not that hard. The question will be if he WANTS to. Would he be happy for a FF Pyramid slot having that caveat? Possibly yes, as it's a hell of a demonstration of commitment and would earn him huge kudos...ARE YOU LISTENING DALTREY? TOWNSHEND?!!!

I think Florence would be bumped after Emily's comments earlier in the year. Or they could see it as an opportunity to bring somebody in who wouldn't necessarily be available in normal circumstances (P*****) or somebody safe (Blur). History tells us Florence would be bumped. Part of me hopes its not one of the other two because then I'd have yet another decision to make having been undecided about SFA/Hot Chip for a while now.

Probably not right to speculate until anything is concrete mind, won't be at Foos if they do play but I hope he recovers.

I have a feeling that because it's in two weeks - Dave will probably do it.

Two weeks is enough time to call in a friend for a special appearance too... and possibly plan something to make up for the fact he's not running around.

theres no way they will cancel all the shows they have planned, too much money at stake and letting people down

REM once cancelled 7 or 8 shows in the Monster tour when they were arguably the worlds biggest band. Anything is possible.

Headlining with days to spare would suit Prince's eleventh hour scheduling preferences but I doubt he'd be prepared to headline on the basis that somebody else had an accident.

This is certainly dramatic. If Foo is bumped up, I wonder who'll be brought in to sub?
