Great work!

Is there now just one entrance from Avalon onto Railway Track? I think they described Avalon Cafe as moving to the 'top of the field', which I didn't understand, but if they're closing off a route (the one nearer SE corner), then maybe that makes sense...

As this is last year's layout, aye, there was only one way up to the railway track. If they're changing it around again, it may change, but I suspect they'll keep just one exit at that end of the field.

Could have sworn there was still two last year, either side of the tent. I need to spend more time there this year :)

Map certainly shows a lack of a route though...

do you know what day/time the photo was taken?

I'm guessing around midday wed or so? Useful to see what campsites are full and what arent.

If it's the same photo as used on Glasto Map then it's around 8-9am Thursday morning last year.

I hope your right, but some of the fields look much emptier than I'd have thought for that time.

If it is though, the hitchin hill dream is still on.

Brilliant!

Yeah, I'd be interested too what point in the festival that the image was taken - many satellite campsites look virtually empty, yet the ground looks worn enough for it to be at least a day or two into the festival. Are these grounds really that empty during the festival....!

I notice that Manor Ground is practically empty. We camped at the top of Woodsies a few years ago and I seem to remember that the entrance to Manor Ground was closed off until later in the festival. Does anyone know if this is normal? Or is my old memory playing tricks on me?

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
