still a marquee up on the hill, any idea what that is?

Looks like Pennard Hill Farm - possibly a wedding tent?

It belongs to a farm up there that host events ( weddings and the like) during the summer.

What a lovely location for a wedding, especially in the current weather conditions. Down to the stone circle to exchange vows officiated by MIchael E of course, then a stroll up the Worthy View hill to the marquee for a reception. The village church bells pealing out, the Tor gleaming in the sunset.

One of the best things about living 15 minutes from the farm.

These are amazing. So, they are all from the Tithe Barn path which is a public footpath? Do you happen to know here would be best to park? I'm in the wider area today and I would love to get as close as we are allowed, my original plan was to park at the skateboard park...

Park by the Coop in Pilton and walk down the road until you see a public footpath sign going up through the woods. At the top you will see the Tithe barn and walk past it.

Until next year.. 😢

Think how quickly that will seem after a three year gap before this year's festival. On Thursday it'll only be 50 days until the first major ticket sale for 2023!

I love that the land goes back to being what it naturally is. It's not only beautiful, and how it should be, but it provides the contrast for the next time we start to see random mobile housing and piles of mud appear.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
