Sticklinch gap here ? or here?:
  4. One of the more memorable ones was when I was watching THE DAPTONE SUPER SOUL REVUE on the Saturday at West Holts in 2014 when the band announced that Bobby Womack passed away the day before and paid tribute to him. I'm not the usual one to cry on hearing news like that but what helped was the combination of: we saw him at the same stage the year before the soul act playing (Daptone) had a great soul vibe as Womack did and it seemed very appropriate them announcing it/paying tribute needless to say I had 2 days of drinking already behind me my wife who reads efestivals really needs to post on this thread and confess all... she's a repeat offender

Pangea replacement up at the farmyard all along... can't wait to see the flames coming out of that tipper in all of it's slow motion glory (including pyrotechnic shovel):

  11. Yeah... Good point on the use of lockups. Packing up some supplies in a bag and leaving in a lockup could be an option. I'm sure you can leave a backpack in right?
  12. Seriously leaning towards sticklinch now!
  13. This is great @Summertime, thanks. Great to get the sticklinch perspective from someone who has stayed there as there may not be a lot of feedback on it as it's a new campsite wise but it seems the walk back is not a big deal albeit far enough in that you may not bother walking back to get supplies. Getting the A361 down south to the car park seems like a potential breeze alright. Even with that 'down to arcadia to get to the park' route does not seem bad.. I'd take a 20 min walk..
  14. thanks @Hotchilidog, that's one vote for Sticklinch. Didn't think of the position of the bell tents.
  15. Hi all, Apologies if this has been posted already but I couldn't find an exact thread. My wife has booked a 4 man bell tent in Sticklinch (new off site camping) and I booked a similar tent in Worthy View a day or so later when they became available again. We obviously need to cancel one of the bookings (before May 6th) but we're stumped on which one to cancel and which one to keep! We're driving to the site by car and will park in the relevant dedicated campsite car park Worthy View Pros: Close to Stone Circle, The Park and naughty arena Seems to be an amazing view from the campsite Cons: Steep gradient from Tipi field and Stone Circle on and steep steps from Stone circle field to campsite entrance Not somewhere where you'd pop back for food/drink supplies or costume change half way through the day to prep for evening/night Sticklinch Pros: Relatively flat (slightest of gradient) all the way to campsite Close to The Park (very close to Carmageddon but not an area I'm that fond of) Probably not the worst campsite (not great but manageable) to go back for food/drink supplies or costume change half way through the day to prep for evening/night Cons: A significant distance/walk to everywhere else No view as per Worthy View We've not real problems with the steps and don't mind going back up them at the end of a night. We also have no mobility issues (we're in our early 40s) Which to go for? Maybe correct me on my impressions above and anything else I may have missed. Below is an awesome graphic that should give context where everything is: (Thanks to Graham Chapman @CoffeeGordon on Twitter for this amazing image here and thanks to @TheGlastoThingy for sharing it here)
  16. got a 4 man bell tent that appeared this morning.. thanks
  17. first post in 3 years... <wipes off dustwebs>. A legendary festival buddy of ours based in Bristol got us tickets Had to cut a planned Ibiza trip short because.. you know .. Glastonbury.. did not think we would be going... failed miserably getting them in Oct 2019... seems like a lifetime ago
  18. fair point.. 😄 there are exceptional biblical ones. Was Standon Calling a particular muddy mess?
  19. nice work. literally spotted that when I refreshed 5 mins ago. 👍 Not long to go! Settlers.. keep sending those pics... you're making our Monday mornings very tolerable here. As for the weather.. it seems that it looks as though intermittent light rain is on the cards which will obviously make ground slippy/soft enough but not a complete washout it seems. The countryfile weather was interesting yesterday in that they can't predict exactly what will happen as low and high pressure are on an even playing field it seems. I'm sure the picture will be clearer later today/tomorrow. Hopefully that high pressure dominance on Monday will creep in earlier on the Sunday. Either way.. it's great being back in a field with great music and vibes.. Can't recall a festival ever been ruined by a bit of rain.
  20. Thanks for the info. Good to hear. Actually got a DM back from green man on Twitter in the last couple of hours and they confirmed they accept via the QR code on cert. Happy Days! See you folk in Crickhowell!
  21. Thanks @GETOFFAMYLAWNand @slumberjack. I'll try to get some sort of confirmation before we arrive.
  22. Hello fellow Green Man folk. A pleasure to be posting to a festival forum again! Apologies if something posted already but I'm part of a double vaccinated small party coming from Ireland for the festival. The only thing we're worried about is the NHS proof of vaccination which is obviously not a thing in Ireland. We will have our EU Digital Covid Certificate as proof of vaccination which is used for EU state members to travel freely across the EU. I'm wondering if this will be acceptable for proof of entry? Anybody else in a similar position? I can't see anything on the green man site about international attendees.
  23. Not as exotic as earlier posts but traveling over from Ireland on the ferry First glastonbury since 2014. It does not feel like 5 years ago
  24. Arriving at car park hopefully after a nights stay in wells
