Is it definitely the co-op? I thought it was more to the right last time. Same area though.

Pretty sure that is base of Co-op, we used to walk past it from camping in Paines along the track they have just put down.

Pointed tent next to that is where there was a lockup last time, but that tent looks a bit smaller than was used for that, and then the cabins are about where Festival Medical Services usually is.

Something going on at the top of the hill. wonder if it is WV stuff arriving

Do you mean the tents going up on skyline to right of Pyramid?  if so then I think that is Pennard Hill Farm glamping going up, and too far over to be Worthy View.

I've always wondered how much power is needed from generators to supply the whole festival - is that a random statistic that anyone here knows?

25MW, according to the supplier. Though I don't know much about electricity, so that number means nothing to me.

Just run a cable up to one of the pylons and take the power from there.

I know you're joking, but it's never occurred to me before - how much would it actually cost to build a substation running from one of the pylons?

You obviously wouldn't want to distribute it across site in the same way as the water network as some poor fucker would inevitably get electrocuted - but could it be feasible to wire up a controlled environment ie Interstage which has got to be the single biggest user?

ive just checked the cam ... not looked fr 24hrs or so ... that fence is making great progress .... like others i swear the coop has moved sides of the railway track

I have got a copy of that mega aerial shot from 2019, and the Co-op is in exactly the same place. Just can't post a pic of it here  because on my work laptop and blocked from uploading.

The costs are in the millions.

    • On the Wet Leg crowd - the opening day always has the worst crowd of the festival. A lot of locals show up purely because it's a cheap evening, often with not much interest in the acts performing, so, while the talking is an issue throughout the festival (and increasingly at gigs/fests everywhere) it's particularly rough on the Wednesday every year. I'll only bother next year if I really like the act playing.  The wristband is basically a souvenir these days, which I like, as I keep them. Also I guess for the festival it's kind of cheap advertising as people walk around the city with them on.
    • Hoping the day splits will be included with whatever the secret is.
    • They will search bags going from the campsite into the festival site. How thoroughly they do that varies greatly from one security person to the next. If they find any cans they probably won't confiscate them, but more likely they'll offer you the option of drinking them there and then or taking them back to the campsite
