So yesterday we had Jean-Michel Jarre ruled out, and Radiohead on again / off again / on again (but then we have that every day). I wonder what rollercoaster ride we'll have today? Chris Evans & the Top Gear team headlining the Park?

Saw Radiohead a few years ago. Me and half the crowd were bored pissless. We all left angry at how poor it was. There were even a few scuffles on the way out as people let go of their frustrations.

I felt the same at the secret Park set in 2011, bored to shit.  The most exciting part was when I got stuck in the mud and dropped all 4 pints I had just bought at the Bimble Inn...

Possibly the most Guardian comment of all time.

I was up front, on the fence for Radiohead at the Park. It was great. They were actually a bit ropey at times performance wise especially with the KoL stuff, but having seen them about ten times before play amazing sets, it was that bit more fun because of it. I can understand it would've been a bit shit further back though.

there's nothing more devastating, especially as I imagine the bar queue was horrific.

Just seen James Bay, Sigur Ros, Last Shadow Puppets and Catfish been announced for Bristol Summer Series this year which takes place Wed-Sat of Glastonbury. Does this make those acts more likely to play Glastonbury as they're in the area or no difference?

that means they've announced the 2 UK appearances the Citadel press release said they would be making this year.

    • What is too old for Leeds Fest now ?  I'm going to the Fontaines Saturday in a few weeks at 54 !!!  I may be the oldest there 🙂    Wythenshawe may be an option for WA.
    • Pretty much all festivals lose out on major artists because of production limitations though. Glastonbury is no different to most other festivals.  Lots of acts can/will adapt their tour production to suit festival stages if they want to play them, but some acts with stage designs and routines just don't want to adapt, and would rather just stick with a rigid, well-rehearsed production and take the money for their own gigs, whether that's a lot more than playing Glastonbury, or slightly less than playing some other festivals (but with added complications). Trying to adapt the stage, layout, access to b-stages etc to accommodate a single headliner on a Friday and then having to change it all around for a Saturday headliner isn't really a goer when most headliners can just easily adapt their show to stay on a main stage, if they're so inclined. They have a year to figure out how to perform a song on a main stage and ditch a few dance routines out on a b-stage if they really put their mind to it. It's not that difficult......
    • I would be all over Wolf Alice but may have outgrown this venue.    Also have to consider the schedule they have been on this year so may be on a break.  This last 10 days alone they did Tramlines, New York, Chicago and Kendal Calling.  Although make hay while the sun shines may come into play.
