All the evil in the world is the result of soggy chips.

And no, I've worked in too many places like that for it to be funny.

I will not lie to you mate, my accent is horrid. My accent is probably pretty similar to Caroline Aherne's, although she is from Wythenshawe and that is the far south of the City. We are all a product of out environment so there is not much I can do about it.

Can I add at this point that no one actually sounds like Liam Gallagher, apart from Liam Gallagher and Perry out of Kevin and Perry.

Mrs Merton mixed with Terry Christian.

I have let myself go. Sat in the car to come to work and all the crotch on my pants split.

I am determined to get in shape for Glasto now.

Scruffy, Woffy and Easty are like those drunken old farts that just wont accept the fact it's kicking out time and fuck off. The lights are off, the chairs are on the tables, everybody else is gone, they're still sat there going "nahh nahh nahh it's a.. it's.. it's a barm!" "KD Lang's let herself go! HAHAAAAHHAAA!".

Come on man, a barm, or barmcake if you will. That's its name, everybody knows.

    • UK to strip back procurement rules to focus on job creation, says Louise Haigh https://www.ft.com/content/9878a2e4-3ac5-43b0-b2c9-b1fe1a4b65e7?syn-25a6b1a6=1   Burnham is not serious about tackling climate change. Having conditions on govt contractors is one of the easiest ways to drive standards and behaviour.

    • What is too old for Leeds Fest now ?  I'm going to the Fontaines Saturday in a few weeks at 54 !!!  I may be the oldest there 🙂    Wythenshawe may be an option for WA.
    • Pretty much all festivals lose out on major artists because of production limitations though. Glastonbury is no different to most other festivals.  Lots of acts can/will adapt their tour production to suit festival stages if they want to play them, but some acts with stage designs and routines just don't want to adapt, and would rather just stick with a rigid, well-rehearsed production and take the money for their own gigs, whether that's a lot more than playing Glastonbury, or slightly less than playing some other festivals (but with added complications). Trying to adapt the stage, layout, access to b-stages etc to accommodate a single headliner on a Friday and then having to change it all around for a Saturday headliner isn't really a goer when most headliners can just easily adapt their show to stay on a main stage, if they're so inclined. They have a year to figure out how to perform a song on a main stage and ditch a few dance routines out on a b-stage if they really put their mind to it. It's not that difficult......
    • I would be all over Wolf Alice but may have outgrown this venue.    Also have to consider the schedule they have been on this year so may be on a break.  This last 10 days alone they did Tramlines, New York, Chicago and Kendal Calling.  Although make hay while the sun shines may come into play.
